A good "First Oil Change" experience ! After our last dealer oil change disaster (a "Toyota" dealer in "Hackensack", but I will not mention the dealers name) where in they changed the oi After our last dealer oil change disaster (a "Toyota" dealer in "Hackensack", but I will not mention the dealers name) where in they changed the oil on our new Avalon, but left the crankcase 2 quarts low (I could barely find a dot of oil on the bottom of the dipstick end when I got the car home) and they snapped off the washer cap retainer strap while refilling the windshield washer. After returning the car to the dealership they said "not to worry" about engine damage after driving the car two quarts low for eighteen miles . . . a letter to the manufacturer said they would "look into it". We're still waiting for a response nine years later! With Ray Catena Lexus everything went perfectly, they were expecting us! They took care of all our concerns, advised us of costs before repairs were performed, even washed the vehicle after it's servicing! They gave us a courtesy car while our repairs were performed, called us promptly when the repairs were completed. Upon our return the service manager explained what had been done and ordered a replacement part for installation later at no cost (A Pre-Owned Warranty applied)! Escorted us to our car and even asked if we needed schooling with the new "Remote Starter" we had installed and said they would call in a few days when the new part arrived so that we could make arrangements for its' replacement. Everyone was friendly and helped anyway they could . . .Bravo ! ( And this first oil change was FREE besides ! ) And Yes, I did check the dipstick, wheel nut torque and tire pressure as well as the other fluid levels when I got home (You see, I ran an auto repair shop for 37 years before retiring a while back ! (Never connected in anyway with this dealership or Lexus). More
