You must have done something good to be reading this review. You have no idea how lucky you are. You have stumbled upon the name of the best, smartest and most helpful Lexus salesperson in the state of NJ. That doesn't sound like hype, does it? Hang out and keep reading. Hopefully, this one review will save you a lot of stress, time and money. Sometimes when people get a great thing, they don't appreciate it. Maybe go around NJ and talk to some other Lexus dealers first so you’ll truly appreciate your big break. That’s what I did. I actually talked to every Lexus dealer in the state of NJ. Every. Single. One. I had a really great experience with another dealer for my last Lexus. I went out of my way to tell them how great they were the last time. I included what I was looking for. They still haven't gotten back to me. Is that a hassle contacting so many dealers? Yes it is. But this is my finances. I'm not going to take chances. You're on Dealer Rater, so that's a start. Tip #1 - click around, look for the sales people with reviews in the last 30 days. No reviews since 2012? Maybe not. But unless someone at Lexus is pretty bad, most reviews are going to be good, right? So why did I drive 2 hours round trip to get my next Lexus? Because Ryan Herzenberg is hands down the best Lexus Sales Person in the state of NJ. Having spent the time researching every dealership and talking to them, I'm a newly minted expert here. Let’s get rid of the obvious stuff. It’s not hard to sell a Lexus. It's a beautiful car. It is hard to find a salesperson who takes excellent care of a customer. Here's what happened: I sent an email to all the dealers in NJ on a Saturday. Time of email? After all of them were closed. Ryan responded in 10 minutes. And Ryan answered all my emailed questions until 10pm Saturday night. To be fair, one other dealer did respond on Saturday... to say he couldn't respond until Monday. Now on Monday, the other dealers finally got around to replying. I wanted a Lexus with some special features. Ryan said it would be hard to find in the model I wanted but he'd look. In the meantime, he made a great offer on a vehicle that was in inventory in case he couldn't find the one I was after. Every single dealership I talked to said the special model I wanted wasn't available on the East Coast. That's it. They didn't say they'd try to look for me. Or even make one single phone call. We can't get it, have a nice day. Unless you want to buy something else. Ryan kept digging. He made calls and didn't give up. He couldn't find 1 of the special model I wanted. He actually found 3 of them. Other dealers - "We can't get it" Ryan - "I'll do whatever I can to track it down." See a theme here? :) Let's talk money. Ryan's dealership doesn't have a finance department. So Ryan took my information over the phone and that was it. I didn't have to sit with a mountain of forms to fill out. The deal he promised me was the deal I got. The very next day they he secured one of the 3 vehicles that all the other dealers said weren't available. And he had it delivered from another state. Time of delivery? 24 hours overnight. You can guess how expensive mailing a 10 pound package overnight would be. Try sending a car overnight. So what did it cost me to get my Lexus special ordered from a dealer and delivered from out of state overnight? Zero. No charge. They weren't having a special that day - it's just what Ryan considered doing his job. He also gave me the best price and terms of any other dealer. After the sale, he kept being great. What does that mean? It's common for salespeople to lose their interest once they've got the sale. They don't return calls as fast, they try to push you onto someone else for questions or they vanish altogether. Ryan personally drove my new Lexus off the flatbed truck that drove across states to deliver it. He helped me through all the final paperwork. and personally drove the car to the exit at the very end. All I had to do was get into the car and drive home. When you've gone car shopping, has anyone ever been that helpful to you? Maybe they were. As a contrarian, I anticipated sales pressure to close the deal. Andy Seibert's skill is NOT that style. On a scale of 1 to 10 with the lower numeral being poor; and, the higher number being excellent----Andy style easily qualifies as very excellent. I throughly enjoyed my experience at Catena in Oakhurst, NJ. More

They reviewed a number of applicable options with us in anticipation of our return on the weekend to see the car(s) in person. Started giving us parameters on a lease deal. We returned met Gretzsky, who worked with us to structure an almost no money down customer loyalty lease with a monthly rate lower then originally quoted. He made everything painless. The car prep people were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. Because of the nature of the F Sport, they explained the tire, rim, dent and windshield protection plan and gave me 24 hours to think about it, which I did purchase. The only thing I found insulting was our 2013 IS 250 AWD with only 5728 miles had no value - really? I bet you its on the lot right now for $32,000. More

An excellent sales executive. the entire process was a pleasure because of him. he worked to get me a car that he thought would be best. I was basically taking a black on black on the lot but he knew from some of my comments that i might be happier with a different color, he slowed the process to give me options. he found a different similarly equipped car on another lot. he was correct. he even suggested i go home and think about it, something rarely heard at a car dealership. after i said yes, he had all the paperwork done and the car ready for delivery in a very short time. the five star treatment doesn't end at the sale. it continues all during ownership. superb service center. apparently Ray Catena has extremely high standards for employment.....every level of employment .. thanks again, Steven Morfino, looking forward to number 3 already. I switched to Mini of Monmouth and I'am So glad I did, they welcomed me with open arms, My second experience I had the vehicle towed to them late on a Monday afternoon, and I received a call by 9:30 Tuesday and was advised they found they problem, and it was fixed and ready for pick up by 11:00 that day. They are very courteous and professional! More
