Best price on a new Volt I saw anywhere. Drove 1hr to this dealership to test drive a lincoln navigator. During the test drive I noticed that the transmission was slipping and told the salesperson that I was still interested, assuming that the navigator. I was assured by the manager & the sales person that they don't sell cars that are unsafe and that they would let me know when the repairs were made so I could come back and look at it. I received a phone call the following evening saying that they believed it was an ignition coil and that they were working on repairing it. I waited 2 days before calling them back only to find out that they sold the vehicle the previous day. 1 star for customer service - I have no idea if they fixed the car and sold it as a lemon to someone else or if they just plain forgot that they had a customer waiting to purchase the vehicle. I went in to buy a used Cobalt - not out of desire, but necessity. Why Ray Chevrolet? Because they had more Cobalts than any other dealership around - and trust me, I did my homework! My long and loving relationship with my VW Cabrio Convertible ended abruptly, and I was not ready nor prepared to move on. Dylan Strazzanti had the misfortune of having to try and make me want to love again. The Cobalt that I came in to look at, and ultimately purchase, sold while I pondered (a word of advice: don't wait too long over there; they are selling cars hand over fist!). In my case, it was less than an hour! I had my back against the wall. I really needed to buy a car that day, though I didn't share that with Dylan. I had a very tight budget and was not easily pleased. I didn't really want to buy a car (my heart was still breaking over the loss of my VW), so Dylan had his work cut out for him. I won't bore you with any more of the sad details, but I will say that Dylan busted his hump and spent nearly all day with me. Due to his efforts, I drove off the lot that night in a car that I was pretty happy with. I was never pressured and was only treated with the utmost respect by the entire professional and friendly staff. Dylan stayed within the confines of my budget and never tried to get me to move up in payment. He answers any question I have and is sooo easy to work with. Because of the complexity of my situation, I've had to go to the dealership three times in two weeks (no wrong-doing on their part). During my last visit, I mentioned to him that I "Googled" a question and he reminded me that I should call him for any help/questions no matter how big or small - that's what he's there for. Service goes beyond the sale. He's a keeper! As for the rest of the staff I worked with directly: Carrie Petrili also worked hard to make sure I was no less than 100% happy with my purchase and the service; David Cooper in finance was great as well. I came into the dealership pre-approved, but Dyan and his team actually got me a much better rate, so I went with their financing. I am not easily impressed with customer service (I've even been called "picky" by my own relatives!). As a former business owner myself, I demand nothing less than excellent customer service; however, I was impressed with their way of doing business, as it is the same as mine. They say to get over one car you have to get in another... Well, my new 2013 Chevy Spark, and the wonderful team at Ray Chevrolet, are helping me to do just that! :-D More

I read up on some of the reviews before making the drive to Ray Chevrolet Fox lake. Some people said they wanted a gas card, I wanted a car. They also say dress nice so you would get attention and the sales people would take you seriously. I walked in wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and some old beat up sneakers. I was taken seriously because I wanted a car, not a hand out. The bottle of water Hugo Ayala bought me was very nice. "hey Pete, don't want a pop or something", "nope a water is fine". The No pressure sales From Matt Douvikas I experienced was a shock. " Here, take the Jeep for a couple of days. If you don't like it, no worries... I want you to be happy.". I took it, drove it, and did not want to drive back to Fox lake as I was afraid, with MY LUCK and not the efficiency of the dealer, that the jeep would be sold accidentally to someone else. I even asked about a Toyota, took it for a spin, was told to take it for a couple of days, then they stopped me and said " sorry someone called over the phone and put a deposit. I can't let you drive this one home." I thought wow. What a great way to avoid driving a distance to visit a dealer, and get the "sorry the car was sold" experience. I guess I can say, since my experience at Ray Chevrolet, I even have a friend thinking about a Chevy, instead of another brand car. I would recommend this dealer to anyone even thinking they can't help you. In the short time i was in the sales area, I saw a lot of happy people, a couple of people grateful for The experience they had, and I even got to see a young lady take a picture with her new car.
