Chad, You inquired last night on a Kia Telluride and Laura actually emailed you first thing this morning, before the dealership was even open. You are not our only Kia customer and Laura is handling hundreds of internet leads. In fact, we have SO MANY inquiries and so FEW Tellurides, that we are not taking deposits over the phone. We aren't even quoting prices over the phone, only in person, as Laura informed you in her email. We did receive a few Tellurides that were delivered to the dealership today and Laura mentioned that they wouldn't be around for very long and asked how soon you could come in. I'm sorry that you didn't like that answer, but Laura is just doing her job and relaying the information. She doesn't make the rules. She sets appointments. You should know that Laura Rusch is THE SWEETEST person in the entire dealership and has the BEST attitude of perhaps anyone on the planet. She always has a smile on her face and nothing but love in her heart for everyone she encounters. I don't know if you read a tone into her emails that wasn't there, but she was 100% honest and professional with you (in the 6 emails exchanged between the two of you in the past 24 hours) and we felt compelled to let anyone who reads this know that about her.

Hi Ed~ We sincerely regret to hear that we could potentially be losing you as a customer. That is certainly not what we want. A couple of things...We looked it up in the system and we are showing an appraisal amount of $23,000 from November for your 2500. I'm not sure if that is the trade offer you're referring to above or if there was a more recent one. Was it Bryan Brown that you worked with when you were here? We're not sure if there was a miscommunication, but we agree that your truck would be worth way more than $13,000. Also, Bryan is actually no longer employed here and hasn't been for a few months now. Since November, the market has drastically changed and trucks are especially in demand right now. Did you end up trading yours at the Toyota dealership? If not, we would love it if you would give us a chance to turn things around for you. You can respond to this private message or feel free to call the dealership and speak to Keith Thomas. He is our GMC Manager that has been here for over 20 years. This is a rather long story but to cut it as short as I can I'll respond briefly. Yes, you did finally come up to $23,000 on the trade-in value but that was only after I stood up and told Bryan (Brown) that that offer was an insult and ask for my key back. He said he'd go get it but instead, person #2 came over and said that they offered so little because people often start countering with them and then the offer would be huge for a piece of crap. Obviously, a truck that looked like it rolled off the showroom floor, is a diesel and only had 61,000 miles on it is worth way more than $13,000. If you're going to look up records then you need to look up ALL the records and see what the original offer was. A new truck like that is $80,000 now so I'm reasonably sure that had I have jumped on the $13K offer that you would have put it on the lot and sold it for close to $50K or more. I'm glad to hear that Bryan is gone - he should be. He committed larceny by holding my key for 4 hours before I finally lost my Christianity and said very loudly in the showroom to just give me my GD key back or that we were leaving with the spare key that my wife had in her purse and then I was going to call the police for theft. On top of that he had the audacity to call me three days later and ask if I was still ready to trade. I explained that he committed larceny and I wasn't happy about it but he denied it and said that they treat all customers that way. I told him to look up the definition of larceny and he'd realize that he DID commit it. So, yes, you did finally come up to a $23,000 offer but it wasn't the first offer. And the $13K was an insult to say the least. I can't believe you would do that to a person that personally has been buying automobiles there since the late 80's and have purchased at least a dozen myself from the Skillman Group and have sold MANY MORE for you. I could have understood if I would have had a piece of crap but shoot, the diesel engine was worth more than $13K by itself. I'm sure you still have my phone number so you can have Keith call me if he'd like to. But as it stands now, without talking to anyone, not only would I never purchase another vehicle from the Skillman Group, I'll most likely never again purchase a GMC product from anywhere. Nor will my family, friends, acquaintance's or any person I meet or happens to post a request for a good place to purchase from on Facebook. It's a shame, too. I always liked that dealership. But I'd be happy to talk to Keith and maybe he could change my mind.
