I knew the options I wanted and had done all my research so I knew all about cost, markup, availability, etc. There's a wealth of information out there which makes car buying a very open process - as it should be. Plus, this is my second Wrangler purchase, not my first rodeo. I was looking for a resonable price which would be a win-win and hassle free. I submitted my inquiry to a number of dealers with the same message. Responses varied. Some were obviously interested in the art of the haggle. Others seemed to know very little about Wranglers at all, telling me certain options weren't available, or couldn't answer my questions about technical specifics. And all were way above my target price - which I knew to be a resaonable one. And then I received an offer from Overland Park Jeep (Joe Hoglund). He was knowledgeable, professional, accomodating, patient -- and his offer was actually lower than my target. I received the same level of courtesy and professionalism from Financing.
