I called ahead in the morning to ask if a car was still there. John called me back to let me now it was and I told him I would be there in the evening to see the car. When I pulled in I saw the car had bee there. John called me back to let me now it was and I told him I would be there in the evening to see the car. When I pulled in I saw the car had been brought up and was at the building. When I go out of my car someone was coming out to see if I needed help, I asked for John and he went and got him for me, I didn't have to wait around. I test drove the car (SUV), John explained the car to me and the motor trend inspection and details. I feel he was honest in any answers he gave to my questions, very personable. I had financing prearranged, but they checked for financing there as well. They did comeup with a better financing stiuation, so after going home and consdiering it I decided to go with the financing offered at the dealership. I hate car shopping and I hate buying cars but it's something we all have to do if we want to get to and from work, so I will say my expereince at Ricart Used cars was a good one and would recommend to others. Everyone was very friendly and they walked me through the process of purchasing my first car on my own. The whole experience was very enjoyable! process of purchasing my first car on my own. The whole experience was very enjoyable! More

Talia Smith was very knowledgeable, she helped me to quickly find my vehicle and then we took it out on a test drive. Overall, it was a good experience and I will recommend her to other family/friends. quickly find my vehicle and then we took it out on a test drive. I really appreciated all of Nates help finding a car. He didn't hound us while we looked around. Letting us be relaxed to make our decision. I purchased a 2010 Ford Mustang from Shawn Cottrill on a Saturday. He was a very nice salesman. The seat belt did not work, nor did the rear defroster. Also, the underside of the hood and one spot on the u Saturday. He was a very nice salesman. The seat belt did not work, nor did the rear defroster. Also, the underside of the hood and one spot on the underside of the trunk was rusted. His boss agreed to fix these issues. His boss even gave us a free poster. Shawn told me that it would be fixed Monday or Tuesday. It took almost 2 weeks. I'm fine with that. The work was done and done right. Shawn had changed the ambient lighting from purple to green. He did not know how he had managed to do that. I picked up the car when it was finally done. I had it for 1 week before I learned how to change the ambient lighting. Upon learning how, I discovered that the mustang light on the drivers side was a different color than the rest of the lighting. About 1 week later, I called to speak with Shawn to see if the light was covered under warranty. He was unavailable, so the operator transferred me to the service department. I don't know who I spoke with. He was really nice, (the only nice one I have spoken with in your service department) but unfortunately gave me a wrong phone # to call him back on (614)836-6386. I explained to him that I had the car in my possession for 2 weeks and refreshed his memory on the initial issues with the car. He knew exactly what car I was referring to. I explained that I did not know if the ambient mustang light was covered under warranty or not. I also asked if I could take it to any dealership or if it had to be Ricart. He told me that yes, it was covered under warranty. He said that I had to bring it to Ricart's service department. I explained that I live in Springfield and didn't know when I would be able to bring it in. He said I could come by on Saturday for him to look at it. He told me to call him first and let me know when I would be coming. So, I called the following friday. It was a wrong #. I spoke with a female (unfriendly) Cindy Price. I tried to explain my previous conversation with her. She had no clue who I spoke with, couldn't understand why I was told to bring it in on Saturday, and kept saying"Maam, I'm trying to help you". All I was doing was trying to explain the previous conversation with the nice man. So, I dropped my car off Saturday morning. I told a man and a woman that I was dropping it off and it was covered under warranty. ( I was told by the nice man on the phone that it was covered under warranty). The man and woman both seemed very confused like they didn't know that I was coming even though I called and told Cindy Price that I was. Then today, Monday, I get a call from Ricart service department letting me know that the car is not under warranty. I explained that I was told it was and that I had my car in my possession for 2 weeks. I also explained that I was unaware I purchased this car as is. They said" you didn't, you have the motor trend warranty". Well, that certainly doesn't cover this. I didn't take down his name, but he was trying, and did seem to be nice. I asked to speak with his boss. The boss "Service Manager, got on the phone. I explained the situation to him. Every detail. He called me back and let me know that "used cars" refused to pay for it. I told him that I will complain to the higher ups and he said "Well, we must be doing something right because we've been in business for years" If you want your car fixed, it'll be $230.00 plus labor. He's rude, I do not like him. Here's my point.......Why was I told it was covered under warranty? I would not have wasted my time or gas money to drive all the way from Springfield to drop it off. Also, since it broke within 2 weeks, why wouldn't it be covered under warranty? It's not like it happened months or years down the road. Also, why would used cars be responsible for paying for it when they are not the ones that told me it was covered under warranty? Service department told me it was covered. So, now I'm out my time and GAS because your service department lies, and does not have their stuff together. I am not a happy customer. I will never recommend Ricart to anyone. They have done nothing but waste my time. Also, why is it that on your website, you only post the good reviews? Or are you going to tell me that I am the only bad review? Very unhappy and frustrated. We told him what we were looking for and he did not waste our time by pushing a vehicle on us that we did not want (which is what I expected from a huge dealership). He showed us the cars were we interested in. We found the car we wanted within an hour. We test drove it. We bought it. I am very pleased with my new car and Shawn. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Shawn and recommend him to my friends and family. Steve Holsinger was also great to work with. He helped out when my husband was being difficult about the price of the car. It was also nice to see staff that was young and energetic. Now that I discussed the high points of my visit, I do need to voice my concern about one thing. I rated the overall experience as a 3 because the process of buying this car was very long. I have purchased cars before in less than 2 hours. I had my 16 month old son with me expecting to be out of there in a couple of hours. We were there for over five hours. (Sorry for the mess my son left). I felt really bad for Shawn because he was running around trying to get everything in line so we could leave. This was not Shawn's fault. He was a great salesman and he went above and beyond to keep us happy. All the staff was great. It was just very busy that day. It took a while to get our car appraised and to get back to the office to sign the paperwork. We are very happy with our purchase and our overall experience with Ricart. (Next time, I will come during the week) Thank you for everything. More
I can not believe what just happened. My husband and I have been looking at a Jeep for the past 3 days. We found one on the lot that we liked and began to discuss with Ricart its purchase. It was advert have been looking at a Jeep for the past 3 days. We found one on the lot that we liked and began to discuss with Ricart its purchase. It was advertised to have a soft top. The sales person stated it was not available. In a follow up call we were then told that Ricart found the soft top and also a stand that would be used for the hard top. Ricart was going to pick them up. During this call purchase was still continued to be negotiated. All pieces were found. Knowing this, we scheduled an appointment to purchase the vehicle for an agreed upon price. Today, at our scheduled time, we arrived at Ricart with check in hand. We received a call from the sales person, while we were standing in Ricart's lobby. He told us that Jeep was sold. What?? Is this a way to do business?? We had an agreed price, and appointment to purchase. The pieces were finally located and the now the Jeep sold?? This is entirely not the way to treat a returning customer. More
