John went above and beyond with his attention to the customers needs, the ability to ease the tension of car buying, and the overall care for the customer. This was a great experience. Accepted 0 money down without batting an eye and the finance department pigeon holed the targeted monthly payment we had to make within our budget. Not one person made us feel ridiculous for having a budget, either. As a matter of fact, we were assured everyone understood and promptly made a strong attempt to help. Part of the reason we were pleased was simply because you had a vehicle that fit our current criteria; gasoline, crew cab pickup or Expedition, 2008 or 2009, for a reasonable price and we didn't have to keep had a vehicle that fit our current criteria; gasoline, crew cab pickup or Expedition, 2008 or 2009, for a reasonable price and we didn't have to keep hunting around. Part of the reason we found the vehicle is that my husband regularly checks out your website, so when we suddenly needed a vehicle he went straight to your site to start his hunt. Another part of our reason for purchasing the day we did was because of our salesperson. Typically I am uncomfortable around the 'used car salespeople-type' (sorry for the stereotype) and would not have made a decision while standing there in front of him. We would have gone home to think about it and may or may not have chosen to buy at that time. I did not feel that way with our Salesperson, John Thornton. The first day we came looking was cold and we were standing in a steady rain. John didn't bombard us, he gave us a little time to look and came out in the weather to see if he could help with anything. Gave us some info and his card and without hounding us, understood that we were waiting for insurance claim info before we began a serious vehicle search. When I called him a few days later, he was all about helping me. Figuring out which vehicle(s) I was interested in and getting the info and vehicle together for me to test drive. Not talking down to me because I was there alone and not with my husband and mostly just being honest with me. If he didn't know something, he told me so and went to find out the truth. (Which was different from an experience I had at another Ford dealership in Delaware the day before.) In short, honesty and pleasant personality are traits we look for in people and appreciate in a sales person. A vehicle purchase, new or used, is usually a big decision in the lives of normal hard-working people and I think it is important to be comfortable with your decision. These things helped us to have a pleasant buying experience and we would not hesitate to refer others. More
