The buying experience was good overall, but I did experience an issue with the car the day after I bought it. I purchased the car on Saturday 05/12 and the check engine light came on the next day. I understand the used car I purchased as-is but I didn’t expect to have an issue so soon after purchasing. I can’t hold this against the salesman, as he did a great job assisting me. I am calling the dealership this morning to see what I can do about the check engine light and I hope my experience continues to be a good one as we work to resolve the issue. More

The customer service given to us was good. I had pre-applied online, so when I got to the dealership I already had a name of a person to talk to. The car we purchased we had seen on the web. I sent a message to be able to go and view it and was told Mr. Ricart was using it as a demo. We usually hate the "buying car experience" because of the pressure sales, haggling over prices, and the time it takes from the moment you walk into the door until you sign the papers for it to be complete. Rick Johnson, our salesperson, greeted us within a few seconds of walking in the door. We didn't know what we wanted when we got there and he was very patient as we looked at most of the vehicles on the lot before we narrowed it down to three. He pulled all three vehicles up side by side and gave us the opportunity to drive all three before we made a selection. When it came down to agreeing on a price, he made a very reasonable offer to begin with, and then when we had a counter offer he called the manager from the desk we were sitting at and it was agreed to within a few seconds. We didn't have all of the secretive back and forth price haggling like you have at other dealerships. While we were waiting to sign papers he got our car ready and checked on us a couple of times to make sure we didn't need anything else. Michelle Hamilton was the finance person we dealt with. Signing papers is usually a very drawn out process, but she was very personable, funny, and informative and made it seem like it only took a few minutes. The whole time we were there we were kept informed of what was happening and how long things were going to take for the next step in the process. We will definitely recommend Rick Johnson and Ricart Ford to all of our friends. More
