I visited a lot of BMW dealers in the DMV area and none of them could compare to Richmond BMW. The team was super friendly and the process was great. I made an inquiry over the internet on Thursday. Friday morning Steve Lerner called and shared some details about the car. I was a out of town buyer so I didn’t want to waste a trip if the price wasn’t right. After about a hour we agreed on a OTD price and he managed to get his manager to hold the car for the following day. Saturday I was in the dealer at 10 and out by 12. After looking for a used car for my UVa second year son for over two months (I have high standards and I'm allergic to BS), I chanced on a 2009 Lexus RX350 at Richmond BMW. Not the make or model for which I had been looking, but a nice looking vehicle nonetheless. Unfortunately, the dealership was closed on Sunday but a few hours later, Mr. Steve Lerner called us back (!). This just doesn't happen in the real world, and he couldn't have been more helpful. No pressure, but Steve verified the Lexus was still available and that it was as nice in person as it looked online. And then he went out of his way to make sure it was ready and waiting for me Monday night after driving up from work in Norfolk. Having been in too many car dealerships (new and used) recently, this was a surreal experience. I actually enjoyed everything from driving the car to making the purchase.
