Steve Lerner Review We had not bought a car in over a decade and although we are both scientist and I am an engineer, the electronics were amazing and complicated. We we We had not bought a car in over a decade and although we are both scientist and I am an engineer, the electronics were amazing and complicated. We were incredibly fortunate to get Steve as our sales person. He took us for a test drive and went through the cars features spending over an hour with us on just this part. We wanted a X3 4 cylinder turbo boost and were very particular about the safety features. We wanted the driving assisted package ZDA. Unfortunately we learned due to a shortage at the factory, the ZDA safety features would not be in production again at BMW until mid-summer. We talked over the importance of this package and agreed that continuing with safe driving practices would be just as important as the features in the ZDA package. Since I was to be the main driver, I had already told my husband I did not want or need this assistance package. In a test drive of a different company’s car I found these safety features mostly a distraction. At that point Steve went on line and over the next two days found us a build that was very close to what we wanted without the ZDA package. We were very impressed with how diligent he was towards getting us the car we wanted and that would satisfy all our needs. It was even the right color! What impressed us the most about Steve was that in the middle of this process he experienced a family crisis. He managed to stay focused although we knew this must be a very difficult time for him and his family. In general, when people show such compassion but work on resolving their personal issue with dignity and deep emotion while still assisting us, we know the nature of this man is honest and true. As a sales person this is exceptional and closed the deal for us. We love our x3 and know that in time we will understand all the amazing features and not to push the SOS button by mistake while sitting in our garage. OOPS! Even that guy was like the rest of the people at this dealership, very nice, concerned there was something wrong and if he could help. We will go in for a review with their "genius" to go through all of our questions relating to the cars operation in the next few weeks. Look forward to seeing Steve again and thanking him for being such a genuinely good person and salesman. More
