Every step in the process from my initial research online, to the dealership reaching out to me directly (without any sense of pressure), to my initial contact with the superb Sales Manager Akshay Mahale, to the business transaction, to the big happy welcome with my new big red bow adorned BMW, to the meticulous review of all of the features, to my driving home happily – I was so incredibly impressed and satisfied! Perhaps most heartwarming was Steve calling me on Sunday late afternoon, just to say hello and ask me if I was loving my new BMW and if I had any questions. So happy with my car, Steve Lerner & Richmond BMW's service I went* to the dealership in late January 2018 with a very specific need and budget (*not gonna lie: I marched in with my list of demands). I was fortunate enough to be put into the hands of a true master: Steve Lerner. The hardest people to sell to sometimes are those who are sales professionals themselves. Steve "got" me because he understood the highest principle of the sales process: The Platinum Rule, which is "treat people the way THEY wanted to be treated." He understood that I knew what I wanted, and he was willing to help guide me to it - without falling into any of the stereotypical salesman BS that we all know when we see it. He mirrored my pace, and was totally unphased by my directness. He listened to my request; asked the right clarification questions, and got right to work researching options for me. As it turned out, what I asked for wasn't available, but Steve LISTENED so well and had gained my trust enough that he knew he could make an alternate recommendation. We took Plan B for a test drive, and I agreed that it would fit my needs - perhaps even BETTER than my original suggestion. With the help of the ever-ebullient Dan Weinberger, they got to work right away on my paperwork and came in well below my target budget. Now, I'll also mention that this CPO car purchase is for my work vehicle, and I work in an industry that is a stickler for details when it comes to paperwork and contracts. Because we extended the warranty and included a maintenance agreement, it involved a little more paperwork than, say, a new car purchase may have. And, because it was going to be purchased and titled in the name of my employer, I couldn't sign anything. Both Steve and Dan went above and beyond when it came to getting paperwork to my company for their approval. I'll also make mention that I didn't take delivery on the car until January 31 - right, the LAST day of the month, which is probably one of the more chaotic days at any dealership, if not THE most chaotic day. Many trees were harmed, but the job got done RIGHT. I'd also like to recognize BMW Genius Lazarus Joyner for giving me the "tour" of my car when I went to pick it up. He ever-so-patiently pre-programmed EVERY SINGLE satellite radio channel that I love (I joke that I didn't buy a BMW; I got a new stereo on wheels). I cannot say enough great things about Steve and the entire team at Richmond BMW. I'm glad I got my car there, and I'd recommend them to anyone. More

Even if I like something, I will still question it, ponder, compare and try to give it an objective perspective. I will shop around to feel like I looked at many different options to consider a purchase. Steve of Richmond BMW was phenomenal and he understood my situation, buying style and things I was looking for in a car very well. His approach is relaxed and there was no pressure at all which allowed me to feel like I made the decision I wanted to make. Of course, Steve’s 10+ years of knowledge and experience with BMW sales had a lot to do with it as well as he was able to answer all my questions and show and explain features of the all cars I was looking at. Anyone considering a BMW as their next car, please ask for Steve! More

I reached out to Richmond BMW along with many other dealers. Ultimately, Richmond won my business and this will definitely not be my last purchase from them. Although I am all the way in NJ, it was just the matter of finding a dealer that would buy my M2 and sell me an X5M at the right price while also making the process simple. This was my first time leasing a vehicle out of state. I can honestly say Jenish Shah made this process extremely easy. All the paperwork was mailed over to me and I simply mailed them back signed. Jenish took care of EVERYTHING else in the transaction including the logistics. Jenish found me a vehicle in Florida that had the color combo I was looking for and coordinated everything. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't surprised at how smoothly everything went although there was quite a few moving parts in the transaction. After my experience, I would definitely not be afraid of purchasing a car out of state again. This dealer is excellent. I spoke with the salesperson, sales manager and finance manager and they are all very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Jenish Shah and Richmond BMW for your new or used BMW/MINI purchases! More
Best service team ever!!!!! My BMW broke down leaving me stranded 2 hours from home. It was towed to the dealership 10 mins before it closed. The temperature was 10 degrees outside, Bob Calvaneso from the service department refused to let me wait outside for my ride home. He stayed late for a hour and a half to ensure I was safe and not waiting outside in the cold. This means more to me then you will ever know. And show there still is great customer service out there.
