I will have to say that buying our first Mini was a blast. We were looking for a used car and just happened to stop in Crown Mini to see what it was all about. We know a couple of Mini owners who are happy with their cars so we thought we would check it out. All I can say is that Drew Tatom made the entire experience fun. I dread going to look at vehicles but not this time. I told Young Choe (Sales Manager) that my husband and I may have been at the dealership for 3 hours but it only felt like 30 minutes. Everyone we spoke with made us feel welcome, like family. I actually had fun making the purchase. Frank Sorensen (Finance Manager) finished the buying experience by making sure that the DMV paperwork was taken care of correctly and we understood all of our warranty options. We enjoyed the experience so much we went back 2 days later and bought a new Mini Countryman. Once again a great experience. I would definitely recommend that if you are looking for a great buying experience that you go to Crown Mini, you will not be disappointed. Ask for Drew Tatom (Sales), he really listens and works on finding the best solution for your needs. Buying a car should not be a hassle and at Crown Mini it was not. More

Steve and the Richmond BMW team were so aware of my needs ahead of me as well as ensuring they exceeded them. The BMW X3 I purchased was a surprise Xmas gift for my wife. I was extremly worried about it leaking ahead of time and ruining the whole surprise. The entire dealership rallied around this and put in precautions to avoid any mistakes. Even the retired couple who delivered the car 95 miles away were aware of the situation and met me with the car parking it behind tall cypress trees in a church parking lot. All I can say, is this is the type of dealership I would do business with again. My ONLY recommendation is that they consider upgrading their showroom and adding a few amenities. I only know to ask this as the Richmond Lexus dealer had really nice seating areas, an awesome Starbucks latte/coffee bar (serve yourself) plus bottled water in a glass front refrig Blaine More
Super super super customer service experienced today at Crown Mini of Richmond Virginia. To give a little background, we bought a used Mini on Saturday (2 days ago), and as any Mini owner will come to find Crown Mini of Richmond Virginia. To give a little background, we bought a used Mini on Saturday (2 days ago), and as any Mini owner will come to find out, there can sometimes be "issues" with the computer and the roll down windows. No big deal, it has also happenned on my 4runner. Just a little programming is needed. And in driving out of the dealership, Passport Mini (Alexandria, VA), realized that our new Mini was too affected by this glitch. Did a U-turn, drove back in, and the super salesman that we had immediately took the keys and drove it into the garage for a fix. Upon finding it would take a two hour mating with a computer to fix the "pinch" feature on the window, he sent us home with the re-assurance that we could take it into the Mini here in our hometown of Richmond, and to send him the bill and he would cover it. So on the way home, I feel a slight rubbing / friction in the steering, primarily on left hand turns. Turns out the front passenger wheel needs new bearings. Again, no big issue, same thing happenned with my 4runner, on the drivers side. 4runner was under warranty, no problemo. Was actually out in Missouri when it happenned, and the dealership in St Josephs took GREAT care of myself and our golden retreiver while we waited. Great experience! We heed the advice of our salesman, and had already made a 9am appointment to get the car re-programmed to take care of the window as we were leaving the dealership, and figure I would advise the shop of the window, the "friction" and additionally I had noticed the rear drivers defroster (love the barn doors, btw) was not working. That was an easy one; someone had been in the rear of the car and had not plugged the connecter to the power source. Piece of cake! I take the car in this morning, a little early for our 9am, and speak with Steve in the service department and give him the whole scoop on what was going on. I mentioned how Brian at Passport Mini had told us to just come in and get the programming done, send him the invoice, and he would take care of it. At this point, the simple programming had turned into a little bit more of a repair, and it was unknown to me if Passport would also take care of the additional items that we had identified. I get a call about an hour and a half later from Steve; the techs had gotten behind the wheel and identified the issues, and he was quoting me the work, and then said this "Who were you working with up in Alexandria?" I tell him who, Brian, and am advised that he will give a call up there and get the ball rolling on this. This was very unexpected, and much appreciated. Now in addition to calling up to Alexandria, and me not having to worry about an invoice, Steve works out diectly with our salesman Brian at Passport Mini to pay for the entire work. Not just the programming, not just the parts, and not just the labor, but the entire job. This, was also much appreciated, not just from Steve, but from Brian as well, and as you can tell has put a fantastic taste in my mouth about being a Mini owner and having a reliable garage just a few miles away. In already owning a British car, a '55 MG-TF, reliable garages are good to know! Superb job all around by both locations. I like the trust established, the quality of work done, and the reliabilty of a company that not only stands behind its product, but stands behind its service. We will be a customer for life! More

And the mechanics are experienced with the peculiarities of the Mini. I don't care for the high cost of maintenance, but I see that as separate from the attention and competence of the staff at Crown Mini. I trust that they will do the work that needs to be done, and I can trust that my car will be reliable. In general, the waiting areas are comfortable. I feel safe, as well. All around -- service the way it ought to be: competent, efficient, intelligent, sensitive to the needs of the customer who has to wait and PAY the bill. More
