You can't trust them! My wife and I was in search of a new vehicle because we were so upside down on our current vehicle. Through out my days at work I would always hear Ri My wife and I was in search of a new vehicle because we were so upside down on our current vehicle. Through out my days at work I would always hear Rick Hendricks Chevrolet Duluth radio ads. So, we decided to get them a try. Bad idea! Going up to the dealership we already knew our credit was bad but we wanted to get back on track and get out of our current upside down loan. We initially tried to trade our vehicle in for a 08 Tahoe. We arrived at the dealership around 11:30am on a Sat. With an appointment we waited about a hour before we were told that the guy that I spoke to on the phone wasn't available and Phil would be helping us. So, we begin the car buying process. We let him know up front our situation. After he explained to us that with the negative equity that we had in our trade in it would be hard to get finance for a used vehicle. So my wife and I agreed we could started looking for a new vehicle. After picking out a car that we liked, we started the financing part. At this time it's about 4:00pm. We asked if we could get our keys for our trade in to go get something to eat. Phil took about a hour to come back saying we could use a loaner vehicle because they were still working on the deal. Once we got back, one of the finance guy told us if we gave them a $1000 down they would be able to get the monthly payments to were would feel comfortable paying. We agreed on the terms. We did all the paperwork and even bought an extra service from them. So, around 9:00pm we drove off in our new vehicle. On that Monday, we drove a hour back up to the dealership so we could get our second set of key. Once we tried to get the tag, the DMV told us that the information wouldn't in the system yet. So, after 3 weeks of trying to get the tag my wife called back up to the dealership. The finance lady told her there were additional paperwork that needed to be sign. This was on a Friday at 6:00pm and we live a hour away from the dealership. We told her that we would come up there Saturday morning. Once we arrived at the dealership, we asked for the lady to 4 different people. The lady walked by us several times without acknowledging us. So we left. We got a mile down the road and I received a phone call from her asking us to come back. So we did. Once inside of her office she stated that our loan didn't fall through. Either we give them an extra $2000 or take a lesser vehicle. We told them to give us our trade in back. It took them about a Hour to find our trade in. We were highly upset. I googled our situation and found out that what we had been through was a scam. It's called a Bait and Switch/YoYo scam. I started looking at their Facebook page and other review sites to see if others had been through what what we when through. And, yes there are others. If we would have done our research on Rick Hendricks Chevrolet Duluth, we wouldn't have wasted our time with them. More
