Two years ago I bought a new SUV from Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Buford. I had a great experience and have since highly recommended the dealership. As of my visit today, they have lost my business, m Chevrolet in Buford. I had a great experience and have since highly recommended the dealership. As of my visit today, they have lost my business, my confidence, and my recommendation. I was amazed by the difference. When my husband, son, and I got to the dealership we got out of our vehicle and walked around in the front lot a bit. We were never approached by anyone to offer assistance to us. We went into the showroom. We spoke to someone at the desks who asked if we had an appointment. We did not know we needed an appointment to LOOK at cars. She got a salesman to meet with us. We expected to be taken to the lot to talk and look at cars that we might be interested in. INSTEAD, we were taken to a small desk and asked what we were looking for. We said that we wanted our son to look around to see what kind of USED car he might like to have. Immediately, the salesman said he could help us. THEN, he proceeded to take all kinds of information from my husband and put it into the computer. It was basically a financial application. He also asked for my husband’s license and copied it. We still had not even looked at any cars at all! He left obviously to check our credit and returned ready to talk. He began a HUGE pitch to sell us a NEW car. We told him we did not want new as it was for a teen driver due to insurance, etc. He continued to push the new car through several different avenues. When we finally convinced him know that was not our intention, he left and was gone for at least 20 minutes. We almost walked out but saw he was coming back so he sat down and said he had a car we could test drive. He had the key with him. We still had not looked at any cars and were now being given a car to test drive without even seeing a picture of that car or any other car for that matter. I asked how much was this car we had not seen and he said we would discuss that when we come back. WHAT!! In this whole lot there is only one car that I am allowed to see or test. He wanted my husband to sign a paper so that we could test drive this particular car that had been CHOSEN FOR US! He refused to sign and told the salesman we were leaving. He told him that he did not like the process they were using. It was very frustrating and disappointing. We actually drove an hour to bring our son there so that there would be a variety of cars for him to see. He did not see even one! I’m not sure what has happened to this dealership in the last 2 to 3 years but it has not been for the better. More
