Brought 2011 Corvette in for warranty ( extended) on a dash light. Issued. Service worked changed rapidly from from sensor diagnoses to wiring, steering bearings, plus front end alignment, etc. The new o dash light. Issued. Service worked changed rapidly from from sensor diagnoses to wiring, steering bearings, plus front end alignment, etc. The new out the door price approached $6000 and plus they had the car almost a month, ( all of July) Brought it back at end of August for shifter issue question. This time it escalated to complete new 6 speed transmission sent to extended warranty company to almost $8000. In the mean time the service rep was let go but mechanic who did the diagnostics is still there. I contacted them numerous times to put a charger on the battery and cover it as its a convertible. Told numerous times by old service rep and new one they would have that done. Nothing was every done. I was told several times car was taken apart and was in the shop but when i went up there twice on weekends and car was still parked behind the dealer completely assembled.. The first time i marked the tires with chalk and it was in the same parking spot almost a month later. The last month was told several times that transmission was not available and would have to wait until the new year 2022.. At no time i was told to come get the car at any point. I called the warranty company and ask about the rebuild possibility if the transmission was not available and was told no issue just have the dealer call them as this was standard practice and the dealer should have already worked this issue this way. Later that day i had a conversation with Server manager who call me back to discuss my issues and the appearance of some type of scam. Note this time its been over a month ( after the warranty agent called & I called and asked the Service manager to reach out to them on a rebuild. The new approach by the service manager is they now cant find not find anything wrong with the car that has been there over a month.. (This was from August 26 to October 12th) Service manager said i could pick it up and drive it and leave the ticket open for the warranty ( $8000). So the car has been sitting in the back of the dealer for over a month under questionable circumstances. I did make my second attempt to pick up my car after service manager said i could on10/11/2021. I called prior to leaving work which is almost an hour away and was told it was not ready by the service agent on the phones when she looked it up. I again tried yesterday after the service manager called and when i got there the battery was totally dead and would not start. The on duty server agent tried to start it and was successful and told me i would have to come back tomorrow and try again. I had take off from work and driven over an hour and again without my car. Service manger conversation this morning that is was actually ready the other day and i should not have called or listened to the phone person who look up my car as she was wrong and it was my fault for listening to her and not him. Today Server manager stated the dead battery is not his problem, even though the car has been on his lot for almost 2 months, undriven and not on a charger. He pointed out even though the car is almost all electric except for the gas engine the batter should last for months without any issue.. So i am at the point where i believe in both cases i was told things were wrong twice and was not the case. the first time the warrant company paid it and the second time when the problem magical went away when the warrant company was reengaged and i proved that the car never left its parking space in the back of the deal the entire time. Suggest their are better options out there. More
