My family went to Rick Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Duluth on 4/18/21 and purchased a used 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel. We are very grateful for the finance team was able to meet us halfway with the pricing. U Duluth on 4/18/21 and purchased a used 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel. We are very grateful for the finance team was able to meet us halfway with the pricing. Unfortunately, our overall experience was tainted as we received dishonesty from the sales staff. After we agreed to buy we were told by our salesperson, Jennifer, that the dealership would fill up the tank as a courtesy and provide us with a second key fob. Once all paperwork was completed and ready to drive my new truck off the lot, I noticed that the gas tank was still left on empty. I went in to address why the tank wasn't filled up, Jennifer informed me that she was only allowed to put $10. That is ridiculous after spending nearly $60k on a truck! Further more I addressed why I was not given a second key fob and was told there was not one and I would have to pay an additional $300 if I wanted it. I say again, "This is absurd after spending nearly $60k on a truck!" What bothered me the most was the dishonesty not really the cost of the fob nor the cost of a tank of gas, but if they were honest from the beginning I would have respected them. However, we were lied about both the key fob and the "complimentary tank of gas" to solidify the sale. I argued my point before I left the dealership that day because they were closing down. In a haste, I had forgotten some paperwork and went back the next day to retrieve it. The sales manager and I spoke about the sale and I addressed my concerns with him. He offered me $60 for the gas to reimburse me for my cost, however I respectfully declined. I let him know that I would like the second key fob since I was told that I would receive one. He then offered me $100 towards a $300 key fob, and I declined. Again, I reiterate I've spent $60,000 on a truck I don't need a discount on the key fob. I was told that I would get the additional key with the truck and I would like that promise to be fulfilled. He then informed me that he would take care of it, and reach out to me later on to see if he is able to get one for me. Within the last 48 hours, I have heard from him ONCE. I was informed that he could not find one and is still working on it, but there is one in store that I could purchase for $300. I have bought 7 different vehicles from different dealerships and was never treated like this. I stress again that my issue isn't the problem at hand but more so the dishonesty that I experienced from the sales staff. I expected to be treated better, especially considering I just purchased a vehicle from them. At the very least, after spending the amount I did on a truck I would at least receive the bare minimum that they offered. More
