Comedy of Errors I'm a long time customer of RHT Service Department. For the most part I've been quite satisfied with their performance in the past. Tuesday's and Wedn I'm a long time customer of RHT Service Department. For the most part I've been quite satisfied with their performance in the past. Tuesday's and Wednesday's experiences unfortunately were not what I'm accustomed to experiencing. I scheduled an appointment (11am Tuesday) to have a leaking tire investigated. I arrived an hour early. I already knew there were several tiny punctures in the tire. I knew that replacing the tire and its partner on the front of my truck was a definite possibility. I also asked my service rep to have a technician investigate one of my window controls. He said ok and also the technician would inspect the frame on my Tacoma for possible recall due to corrosion. I told him I thought that had been done but he said he didn't see it on the screen so I said no problem, check it out. I left the dealership at 12pm via the dealership shuttle. I returned to the service department around 3pm via the shuttle. I checked in with my service representative to check on the progress of my repair. He told me it was being worked on. I returned to the waiting area. I checked back about an hour later. The service representative told me their was a problem with the new tires. Needless to say I was surprised to hear that. He went on to tell me they would have to order new ones and that they wouldn't arrive until 4am Wednesday morning and that I could return at 7am. That was not what I wanted to hear since I needed to be on the road by 6am Wednesday. He apologized and told me the technician was going to put my old tires back on and that I'd soon be on my way. I needed to do some banking business before the bank closed and then take my handicapped sister grocery shopping. He assured me I'd be on my way by 8:30am Wednesday. I returned to the waiting room. Another hour passed. I checked back with my service representative and he told me there had been a miscommunication between he and the technician. He was going to provide me a rental car. That didn't fit my revised plan since I planned now to bring the truck back ready to start my trip from the dealership. By the time I got the rental car the bank was closed and I was 2 hours late for my sister. I arrived back at the dealership at 7:45 Wednesday. The service representative arrived around 8am. I talked with him and went to the waiting room. After about a half hour I checked back with him. He went to the service area to check on the progress of my truck. After I waited another half hour I returned to talk with him. He said there was a problem with one of the new tires as well. I commented that this was a bit suspicious for there to be another issue. I questioned the equipment. He assured me that the equipment was operating properly. He went on to say that the technician had taken one of the tires from the Tuesday fiasco and balanced and tested it and that my truck would be ready soon. To make a long story shorter I was on my way a little after 10am Wednesday. I returned home, loaded my truck and was finally on my way by 11:15. I never did get a response about my window or the chassis frame. More
