I feel cheated. I chose the most expensive package for a 90k routine service and also noted the check engine light was on. We had our eye on a couple of trucks at dealerships farther away and initially planned to stop by Group 1 Dodge Rockwall just to test-drive the Ram model we were considering before heading elsewhere. The sales rep who assisted us, Justin, made this a genuinely pleasant experience. We were upfront about our intentions from the start, and instead of pressuring us, he respected them. At no point did he come across as the aggressive, pushy car salesman many of us expect when walking into a dealership. Justin could have easily tried to steer us outside our comfort zone in terms of price or vehicle options, especially given Group 1’s large inventory, but he didn’t. He was knowledgeable about the Ram lineup, clearly a personal long-time fan of the brand himself, and was able to thoughtfully address concerns we had based on prior Dodge models that the public is aware of. We test-drove a similar Ram and loved it. During that process, we learned the exact truck we wanted was located at another Group 1 dealership in Denton - which we had actually planned to visit later. We hadn’t initially realized Rockwall Dodge was part of the Group 1 network, as the Denton dealership is more clearly branded. The only reason this is a 4-star instead of a 5-star review is timing. Even though we began the purchase around 3 PM on a Saturday, the truck couldn’t be transported to Rockwall until Monday. That said, Group 1 Dodge Rockwall loaned us the truck we test-drove, so we still drove off the lot feeling like we had a new truck in the family. Overall, a great experience and a salesperson who genuinely earned our trust. More
