I originally walked in with a budget range of $8k-$12k, looking to buy a used car or SUV. The first vehicle I test drove is the one I ended up taking home, but only after 2 days of unnecessary time and aggravation. I was already pre-approved for a $12k loan through my credit union, and the 2010 Chevy Malibu I drove the first day appeared to fit my budget, and I was told that it only had 11,495 miles on it! Of course I inquired as to why it was listed at such a low price, but the salesman simply said he didn't know, and that it was just the price "they" had on it (very helpful). When I finished test driving it, I asked if there were any more vehicles on the lot within my price range that I could look at (knowing already that there were several), and the salesman actually seemed reluctant, or hesitant to show me anything else. He spoke to their sales manager to see what he recommended for me, after hearing my basic preferances and budget, and his recommendation was a 2010 Dodge Charger. I asked, "And this is really within my price range?" To which the salesman answered "He(the manager) seems to think we can work it out!" So I had my husband (who is a mechanic) check it out, and he said it had bad brakes and rotors, and was concerned that it may have transmission problems in the near future considering the milage on it. But of course I was in love with it by then, and spent the rest of the afternoon, up until closing time that evening, letting them run me back and forth as they attempted to make it work for me. Which of course they couldn't, because it was a $15k car in the first place. So naturally I was extrememly frustrated to have wasted the entire day on a vehicle that they knew from the START would not fit my overall budget, or even come close to my monthly payment range. The next day, I told them I wanted to push through with the Malibu, because it seemed to be the best option there, and for 11k miles I knew I wouldn't find a better deal! But it wasn't until after we'd begun the paperwork, that I happened to look at the actual speedometer in the car, and saw that there were in fact 86k miles on it! I was immediately concerned, and continued to be wary throughout the rest of the day. I took the vehicle once again to my husband, and he said that it also had terrible brakes and rotors. I have never seen a car at a dealership that had bad brakes and rotors! Isn't that something they automatically check? No one wants to buy a car that already needs to be worked on! I complained, and the dealership agreed to fix them, but of course added the price onto the total, which really annoyed me. We completed the deal, and drove off with the car. But two days later, when my husband did a balance and rotation on the tires, he noticed that one had a broken belt, and the other had wires showing on the inside of the tire!! Talk about upset! I just paid nearly $13k total for this vehicle, and after 2 days it already needs $500 worth of work! Plus, either of those tires could have exploded at any time, causing me to wreck, and possibly be injured or even killed!! We called the dealership, and of course they denied responsibility and said they simply couldnt afford to put any more money into the vehicle. This is also after they promised to get me a new keyless entry remote, since the one that came with it didn't work! With this vehicle, you have to have the keyless entry to reset several features on the car (including the tire sensor light, which was already on when we got it as well). So whatever, we just gave up, already sick of dealing with this nonsense, and resigned ourselves to the fact that we had clearly been screwed over, and would just have to pay for it ourselves. The same day, the airbag light came on and stayed on. And just a few days later, the headlight switch broke, leaving us with NO headlights, in the Kroger's parking lot at 1 am needing to drive home! And I am sure there will be more problems yet to come. The salesmen, mechanics, finance manager, and other personnel I worked with there were all very nice, friendly, and accomodating so I can't complain about that (however, a couple times I did receive multiple phone calls about a single subject, such as a needed signature, due to the fact that they didn't communicate the information well with each other). The manager, Jim, seemed to be the problem. He was downright rude at times, and we could tell his decisions and actions were what caused us so many problems, and it was not the personal fault of our great salesman, Jerry! But when you spend $13k on a newer, used vehicle, you should NOT have to drive it off the lot already needing $500(at the very LEAST) worth of work, and within less than a week have to spend even MORE! Buying a new/used car is supposed to be fun! But I have cried out of frustration, and stressed to the point of losing sleep over this entire ordeal. Who sells vehicles with bad brakes, rotors, tires, and countless other problems? BOB ALLEN of FRANKFORT. More

They had the very best price of all the dealerships I looked at and the vehicle I wanted was priced $11500 below MSRP. No other dealer came close to such a great deal. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Highly recommend this dealership and I will visit them again next time I am shopping for a vehicle. More

BOB ALLEN CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP in FRANKFURT KY was at the top of the list which I selected to give it a shot and I received an email the next day from Wendy Harrod. Wendy Harrod is very knowledgeable in her field with a down-to-earth type personality. She is easy to talk with and explains everything in laymen’s terms. Feels like you’re shopping for a vehicle with your best friend. Wendy was very methodical in her search for my then 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie with a butt load of options I wanted to already come on the vehicle. I never thought about maybe there isn’t any out there that matches what I want, however Wendy stuck to the task of trying to find exactly what I wanted in a 2010 model, somehow left behind waiting to be adopted by me. She came close to a match but not 100% like she knew I wanted. She was the cheerleader on my Team and didn’t want to see me settle for nothing less. She informed me that she could keep up the search on a 2010 model, however all the feathers had pretty much been plucked from that bird, especially with the options that I wanted. She said in order to get exactly what you want, I should consider ordering one straight from the Factory built the way I wanted. I was hesitant at first, but now I’m here to tell you that was the best advice I received in a long time, and I ordered me a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie with all the bells and whistles and 4 weeks later I’m driving it. Wendy also offered to deliver the vehicle at my location 80 miles away for my convenience. She went over the operation of the vehicle and gave a detailed briefing on how the stereo, DVD, Navigation and copying stuff to the 30GB hard drive. She went as far as to take me and my wife to here vehicle and demonstrate it as she had a 2010 system in her privately owned vehicle. On top of that it was already after well after closing time when she did this for us. Now that is service. Wendy always referred to the Dodge Ram Laramie as the “MAC DADDY” of trucks, check out her YOUTUBE VIDEO doing a Demo of a RAM and you will see what I mean; just search Wendy Harrod in www.google.com. Wendy also kept me up to date with all the Incentives and Rebates that came out on the vehicle. So with that said let me just pass along some advice of my own. If you’re even thinking about a new vehicle, you would be cheating yourself if you don’t drive down to BOB ALLEN CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP in FRANKFURT KY and tell Wendy Harrod (502-695-0166) that Ken says “Hello”, you won’t regret it. I give this Dealership two thumbs up and a 5 star rating. Let me not leave out Jeff (Finance Manager) who handled my financial transaction in a professional and timely manner and ED (Parts Manager) who took care of me like I was family and since I bought a new truck through them he gave me a 5% discount on accessories. Do I need to say anymore, great experience and definitely will buy from BOB ALLEN CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP in FRANKFURT KY again in the future no doubt. More
I made my initial inquiries via the internet by building the car I wanted on the Dodge website. The next morning Wendy Harrod contacted me about what I was looking for and how she could help. (I think a lo the car I wanted on the Dodge website. The next morning Wendy Harrod contacted me about what I was looking for and how she could help. (I think a lot of dealers don't get the internet. Even though the Dodge website submits your build to all qualified dealers in the region, other dealers did not contact me until weeks later and a couple never did! - Wise up people!) Wendy worked diligently to find the car I wanted. Even offering to find it at another part of the state and bring it to her location in Frankfort for me to see. Once I settled on the car she worked very quickly to put the deal together within my means and offered to deliver the car to me in Louisville! Talk about service. My experience with this buy was positive all the way, from working with Wendy in sales, the finance dept. and the service dept. (I'm having some upgrades done). I never give recommendations as a rule but this place is the exception. Do yourself a favor. Go to Bob Allen Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge in Frankfort, KY and find Wendy Harrod. You won't be sorry you did. Working with Wendy Over the phone and e-mail was an amazing experience. Wendy was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. She understood all of our needs and was very patient with us. My wife and I are picky people and can be very difficult when not getting what we want. Wendy made it her personal job to find what we wanted and was fast about it! Sales people need to more like this and not all about the buck BUT about getting what the custommer wanted. This is the first time ever that I left a Dealership and didn't get that feeling like I had just been taken for a ride and skrewed. More
