The Best Car Buying Experience In searching for a new Prius, we searched around our home area (approx. 50 miles from Rodland Toyota) and got the usual runaround, even though we were In searching for a new Prius, we searched around our home area (approx. 50 miles from Rodland Toyota) and got the usual runaround, even though we were pre-approved. A tip from our credit union sent us to Mike Massey, who in our opinion, was the most helpful, easy to work with salesman we have ever dealt with. One week of phone conversation to get the right Prius for our needs, with a hard budget, got us up on a Friday night, where the car was waiting in the heated and lighted delivery area. Mike got us a better deal on a higher level car than the dealership 10 mins away with a base level car. Mike was very patient in showing us all the features and gadgets that were on the car, and there are a lot. We spent approx. two hours getting everything signed, sealed and off we went. Mike, you went above and beyond expectations to help us and get the Prius we only thought was a dream, you have earned us as lifetime customers, and will recommended to our friends looking to get a new car. A good experience I originally was looking for a Toyota Tacoma and met Russell Pyles. He was honest about the price and since we couldn't come to an agreement, I went on my way. After a few weeks I decided I wanted a vehicle that was more "car" that could pull a small camper (which is why I originally wanted a TT). The Highlander fit the bill. I found one listed at Rodland, said I wanted to talk with Russell, set up a time to test drive it and purchased it! Again I found Russell to be upfront with me about all aspects of the purchase. I will definitely check Rodland next time I need a vehicle. More
A clear win for me as a buyer and Toyota as the seller When looking for a new car my wife and I narrowed our choice s down to the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Highlander. In a later stadium the Honda CRV mod When looking for a new car my wife and I narrowed our choice s down to the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Highlander. In a later stadium the Honda CRV model 2017 was also in the picture. I myself was initially neutral and my wife was initially biased in favor to Honda as she loved her 2007 CRV. The two salesmen involved with us at Toyota Rodland were Mike Massey and James Effler. Meeting the Toyota team and the Honda team, comparing the service, comparing the vehicles and the general feel of our experiences quickly made us tilting towards Toyota. On the vehicles I can make the following remarks. In general very comparable. I liked the looks of the Highlander better than the Pilot. The third row seats on the Pilot were somewhat more comfortable and bigger than on the highlander, but not to the point it did sway my opinion a lot. But a deal killer for me on the Pilot was when I did drive it. The controls, buttons and indicators were not intuitive on the Pilot. They were intuitive on the Highlander. I think the Honda design team dropped the ball by emphasizing innovations over functionality. In addition amazingly so the space in the front seat is slightly bigger in the Toyota Highlander compared to the Pilot. I have to admit the CRV 2017 did not have that shortcoming and was a serious competitor to the Highlander. The sales teams also did stand out very differently. The Toyota team (Mike Massey and James Effler) was very forthcoming and did really do a lot of work providing us with information and showing various options. They were willing on their own initiative to make us aware of more cost effective options (for us). In short, they gave the impression they really wanted to sell and that they were really trying to help us getting the options that we liked. In short the team was to the point, informative, courteous and 'slightly hungry' (meaning the showed they were really wanting us to have a good opinion of Toyota in general and Rodland dealership in particular and they showed a willingness to negotiate a deal that benefited both us and them. They were successful. This in contrast of the Honda (Honda Klein) team; "Sure you can have a Pilot. Sorry, there are not enough so you will have to wait, and no the price is not negotiable". We decided to take the service contract with the new car and we have high expectations that the future relation with Toyota Rodland will be pleasant and beneficiary to us. More

Excellent Experience in Shopping for a New Vehicle Mike Massey was our sales person. Mike was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, from the moment we met when we walked in to the dealership Mike Massey was our sales person. Mike was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, from the moment we met when we walked in to the dealership and all the way through the process of leasing our Rav4, to the delivery of our new Toyota. Mike did a great job explaining all of our options for the leasing process as well as explaining the benefits available through Toyota including the service plans and the advantages of partnering with Toyota and the Rodland dealership. The information and guidance about the vehicle's features and operation that Mike "walked" us through at the time of delivery was very helpful. Tom Staniford and Darci Clark who we worked with in the finance department were very informative, friendly and professional and made that process a very smooth and efficient experience as well. Overall the experience of leasing a new vehicle at Rodland Toyota was probably the best experience I've had in acquiring a new car. More

Simple! Working with this dealership and Alex was amazing. He made our buying process seamless and just easy. My husband and I have have 12+ hour a day jobs which means we do not have 4-5 hours to spend at a dealership just to buy a car. My husband worked with Alex through communicating via email first, he gave us all of our quotes, a great deal at the price we were looking for, and found the exact car that we wanted. I would definitely recommend coming to this dealership and working with Alex and the whole team. Probably one of the easiest big purchases my husband and I have ever made. They were not pushy, they let us stick to what we wanted without trying to pursuade us to anything else like the other dealerships. They did not beat around the bush on prices and worked it out to our price point. Not only that, Alex came in on his day off since we were only able to pick up the car that evening.
