MY husband also was upset how they handled my credit not being an excellent score due to bills not arriving at our new apartment which lowered my credit score. During this past June 2025, my husband and I leased a 2025 Kia Soul from Kingston. When my husband returned several days later to pick up the car, my husband was informed that my credit rating was low. I was initially surprised because my credit rating has always been over 750.All that needed to be done was to look at my past credit history. I then asked for a copy of her latest credit report. My husband was told that I had to pick it up personally. This is my husband of over 40 years of marriage. That did not matter. This was poorly handled. We both felt like criminals. This had to do with the finance end of the transaction and not with the salesperson, Mike. As far as transparency, how was I not transparent! Very disappointed. I eventually did get the report, and am now working on closing down accounts that I no longer use such as Pier One, Caldor's,etc. We had planned to buy another vehicle in January 2026 for our son, but at this point, we will take our business elsewhere. In order to get the car, they used my husband's credit check which had no flaws. I was ready to walk, but my husband gets shy and nervous and didn't want to. I should have been told about my credit up front. I now am in the process of dealing with Capital One which is a pain also. I closed down my Capital One account on the phone after explaining the problem with the supervisor at Capital One. Capital One now has taken over Kohls accounts. As a result, we did not receive any bills from Capital One for Kohls. Nobody cares unless they are making money from you. I only found out about my credit problem on the phone before we took the car. I view this as sneaky. I will not buy another car from this Kia Dealer because I felt they really didn't care what my credit problem was. As I said before, my credit will be repaired before I need a new car. Lots of Kia dealers around. More

Bonus points for the process being quick and easy! i test drove the car and then drove it off the lot only 3 weeks later! Me and my friends are absolutely loving my first “big girl purchase” 🤩🤩 For this being my first time experiencing a car dealership, i am extremely pleased with both the process and the outcome! Will be returning here and seeking Martha’s help for another new Kia once my lease is up! More
So after waiting several months for window trim to come in on a recall, I finally got the parts installed on my Telluride not even a week later they are falling off. It’s been over two weeks. He has not called me he will not return my call and Ariana is not helpful and nasty and hung up on me. I would never buy anything from this dealership again nor even let them service my vehicle. More
Romeo Kia of Kingston, I will never purchase a vehicle again. I co-signed a car for my niece a few years ago and I just upgraded my daughter’s car. My experience with Saleswoman Martha was great and my daughter loves her new to her car. BUT, they completely ripped me off in my trade in. They offered me 8k I tried to haggle and tell them I wanted more but they said the car had rust underneath and they wouldn’t be able to sell it they, would have to auction it off. 2 days later they had my car for sale on their website for 15k and wrote an extravagant advertisement explaining what a great deal this was for gem of a car. We called and complained nothing was done. I would not recommend this shady business to anyone I care about. More
I strongly advise against doing business with Romeo Kia as customer service is non-existent after the sale. Romeo business owners were not even helpful. They said they couldn’t sell it on the lot because it was old and had a lot of mileage. They only carry cars which the bank will finance. I recently bought a used vehicle and was given an IOU for a spare key and fob since the truck only game with 1.
