After a half-hearted glance through TrueCar, I was contacted by Steve Kaney of Ron Tonkin Kia for an inquiry and present options. I had already spoken with another dealership but they didn't have the options (color and tech package) I preferred. Ron Tonkin Kia did. After a phone call and a couple emails, I had to come in and take advantage of what was presented. A Dealership with Integrity I was in communication with 4 different Portland-area dealerships as I searched for the right car lease. One dealership was crazy expensive, so I I was in communication with 4 different Portland-area dealerships as I searched for the right car lease. One dealership was crazy expensive, so I wrote them off right away. Another dealership talked a good game, but even on the phone wanted to do the "Let me go talk to my manager" thing over and over again, which I find tiring. They never got the price down where I wanted it, though after I got my lease with Ron Tonkin, this other dealership was still calling me and offering me lower and lower prices lol. The third dealership gave me their "word" that they had the car I wanted, at the price I wanted. Then when I showed up to sign papers, suddenly they didn't have the color they'd committed to, or the lease pricing they'd promised. They tried to talk me into another car at significantly more money per month. I'm so glad I left, because... I'd already been in touch with Tanya from Ron Tonkin, but had sort of let the communication lapse. I decided to reach out again, and Tanya responded with this really great online form that showed the car I wanted, the exact dollar amounts for drive-off and monthly payments, all of the options, the VIN# - really everything you'd want to know about the car and the payment terms. There was a spot where I could comment and ask questions and I used this to get confirmation on all of the details, so that there would be no surprises when I showed up to sign papers. All of my comments were recorded on the form, and I found it reassuring to have every single thing in writing. Everything about the lease looked good, so I went to Ron Tonkin, met with Tanya, her manager, and the finance guy, and everything was super straightforward. I was in and out pretty quickly, and am very happy with the car I got. I am so grateful that I ended up at Ron Tonkin, and with Tanya as my salesperson, as it ended up being such a positive experience. I'd happily do business with them again! More

Best experience ever I started looking for a car in September and was having the worse time ever trying to find what I wanted. I am a single parent, work two jobs and needed a reliable car really bad. I lost my dad and the last of my support system and wasn't sure what I was going to do if my car broke down. My credit isn't the best and I was treated really bad because of it. I found a red Kia online and Tanya went above any beyond to get me into this car. She had me approved within hours and treated me like a person not a credit score. When I went to go get my car they even got me a lower interest rate then what I was told. I couldn't believe they worked so hard for me. Ill never buy a car any place else. Thank you so much for giving me the peace of mind I need to keep my everyday life going. More

An amazingly pleasant afternoon! Was researching Kia hybrids and EVs. On an impulse, I put in info to Costco Auto for pricing. Didn’t get that, but did get a call from Steve Kaney. Started out thinking “Oh, great.” But, later that afternoon, happened to be in the neighborhood with my husband. Have to say, this is going to be my car, I was doing the research, I was doing the purchasing. My husband managed to stay in the background. And, Steve, he talked to me. He answered all my questions. He made suggestions. He was able to figure out what I was wanting even before I knew myself. Steve found the car that met all my specifications. He then totally kept me in the loop for delivery. Finally - pick-up. So many bells and whistles. Steve took me thru them all. Have been reading the owner’s manual, and it’s so easy. Been there, done that. Have to say that I have recommended Steve and Ron Tonkin Kia multiple times already. More
