I have bought my 2nd vehicle from them because of that ...HOWEVER, With this purchase I had written 2 checks.. this was agreed upon with this purchase. they were to hold the 2nd check for 2 weeks... They told me I had to date them both for the day of the purchase and they cashed it in 1 week.. WOW is all I can say .. Not only did this affect my bank account severely but they had made a deal and broke in the worst way!! I will never do business there again and I will advise everyone and anyone NOT to do business with them EVER!!! That is shady I repeat SHADY Practice! More

He wasn't pushy, answered all of my questions, and did everything he could to make sure I was satisfied with my experience at the dealership. Also worked with Don Friedel and he got the price down lower than I thought he was going to be able to, which was much appreciated. Overall, had a great experience working with both of these guys. They understood our needs and budget and worked hard to find something that we loved that fit within our price range. Danny was very accommodating and made sure that we knew everything about our new vehicle before we left the lot. Overall, the entire experience was smooth and the end product was a beautiful new Traverse. I would highly recommend Westphal. Thanks, Melissa More

Worst Salesman Ever! My father and I had visited Ron Westphal Chevrolet in Aurora only to have the worst experience we've ever had shopping for a car. To make a long story My father and I had visited Ron Westphal Chevrolet in Aurora only to have the worst experience we've ever had shopping for a car. To make a long story short, I will start when the car buying process took a turn for the worse. Danny returns with the numbers and it’s less than what my father wanted to pay. I asked Danny if he could give my father and I a few minutes to discuss the numbers and Danny responds “Just tell me where you need to be so I can see what I can do”. I told him that all we want to do is go over the numbers and all we need is 5 minutes. He said “ I don’t understand. You’re getting employee pricing. What more do you want?” I again told him all we want is 5 minutes to look at the numbers and that is all. He walked away from us and took the offer sheet with the total price. I said “Danny, I need the sheet. I’m not sure what the problem is but we just want to discuss it. It’s not like we’re spending $10 here. This is a good size purchase!” Danny walked back to us and would not give me the sheet. He would only display it while he was holding onto it. He then said “Why don’t you just tell me your number? I’ve got a showroom full of customers and other appointments I could be working with.” At this point, my father said forget it. I don’t want to purchase the truck anymore. This is what’s troubling to us. His attitude changed for no reason. We had researched Truecar.com which listed the truck at $38,129. Online, the website had the sales price at $37,672 after discounts and financing through GM. Danny came back with a $36,500 price for the car. That worked out to be about $13,000 less than MSRP! Of course we wanted the truck. We were just asking for 5 minutes to discuss this big purchase. To give you a quick background on my father; he is a former Marine with 13 years of service that saw live action. He is also a retired law enforcement officer with over 20 years in the field. My father has done more than most for his country and community. He did not need a spoiled brat like Danny treating him disrespectfully and then walking away throwing a temper tantrum like a child. Danny’s lack of professionalism cost him and the dealership this sale. This happened on New Year's Eve of 2018. I immediately sent an email to Bill Houlis, the general manager of the dealership, and to Joe Fosco, the general manager of sales. As of today, January 10, 2019, I have not heard from anyone following up on this bad experience. On January 2, 2019, my father went to a different dealership and purchased a truck. He paid more but got the truck he wanted and the service was the best he has ever gotten at a dealership. I really hope Danny uses this feedback as a learning experience for future customer interactions. The days of the pushy salesman no longer work and the uneducated consumer no longer exists. And as my father said, "There are plenty of other dealerships in the area". More

"Unpleasant Experience" On 12/31/2018 I visited Ron Westphal Chevrolet, Aurora, IL. I met Dan Cardinal (Sales /Product Specialist). After selecting a 2018 Silverado, test d On 12/31/2018 I visited Ron Westphal Chevrolet, Aurora, IL. I met Dan Cardinal (Sales /Product Specialist). After selecting a 2018 Silverado, test drove and began the purchase process, it became evident of pressure tactics and the issue of why we the clients were questioning and reviewing the transaction numbers. Mr. Cardinal stated that the Deal and delivery of vehicle had to take place by 3:00 PM 12/31/2018. Not as per published, promotion of Chevrolet advertisement: “The Chevrolet Employee Pricing Discount” must take delivery of vehicle by 01/02/2019. Mr. Cardinal became rude, unprofessional with an attitude. Mr. Cardinal claimed that my son and I were wasting his valuable time. As a 13 year military, combat, veteran; retire Law Enforcement Officer after 22 years of service, I know the value of time. As a senior citizen in his 60’s I learned the value of respect. Therefore, I would not recommend Ron Westphal Chevrolet of Aurora Illinois, due to this unpleasant experience. There are other Chevrolet Dealers in the area. More
