I was just a victim of a Bait and Switch at Route 44 Toyota in Raynham Massachussetts. I contacted the dealer about a listing I saw online, and they confirmed with me TWICE the availability and price of Toyota in Raynham Massachussetts. When I got to the dealership, the car didnt exist, and they tried to sell me a car for 7k more than the listing. After looking at some of their reviews, this seems to be a pattern. I would never buy a care from this place, completely untrustworthy, dont waste your time. More

Service department did a poor job. Did not perform the the diagnosis necessary to fix the problem. Toyota warranty is a joke. After talking to 5 people just got the runaround and misinformation. I am very pleased with the service I received there, Alivia was amazing she was very attentive to what I was looking for in a car and went above and beyond to help me. Total complete trash. There is a phot of Route 44 Toyota on Google when you search for "Bait and Switch". I had received an offer from CarMax for $34k for my truck. The next day, I get an email from Rout on Google when you search for "Bait and Switch". I had received an offer from CarMax for $34k for my truck. The next day, I get an email from Route 44 saying they would pay more for my trade than anyone else. Cool! I could use money. I called the dealer, as instructed in the email, and asked to talk to Bobby Sousa. I never did get to talk to Bobby because the fellow that answered the phone, Steve Lemish, said he could help me out. Great, but red flag number one. Spoke with Steve, referenced the email, let him know about the offer for 34 from Carmax. Steve punched in some numbers and came back with $37k. Woah. Awesome. It took some work, but we made an appointment to come to the dealer and get the deal done. Steve told me to ask for Bobby. I arrived and was intercepted by a salesman who never did identify himself. I let him know I had an appointment with Bobby and he sat me down at his desk. Red flag number 2. Sales guy comes back and starts right in with the whole "What's your payment" BS. I played along for a few mins to be polite and then let him know I was only there to sell my truck to Bobby/Steve. He asked for the payoff and my keys and then, without looking at the truck or passing the keys to anyone, offered me $28k. Side note, this is well below Blue Book, NADA and all the rest. I was furious. Why did Steve tell me $37 and this guy says $28? I asked and was told "Steve isn't authorized to make those kind of offers" I grabbed my keys and left. After I cooled down, I called and spoke with Steve. He said he'd look into it and get back to me. No call back. I followed up on Monday and was told he'd work on it, but he's off on Tuesday. I called again Weds, now Bobby is out of the office. What a runaround. When I finally was able to speak with a manager, Jarrett Foti, he asked for my side of the story. He was polite and courteous. He said he's ask the other parties involved what happened and call back. Jarrett called back and said he's get me a number, now. No apology, no admission of fault. I heard some typing and Jarrett comes back with $31k. I didn't bother to argue or fight. Why? Suck you in with a lie of "we'll give you more for your car than anyone else" then lowball you like mad? I had wasted enough time with this place. The Bruno's should be ashamed to to have their names and faces on this business. I know I would. More

Service Department swindle. My pre-paid (“free”) extended maintenance service cost me $127. Quite a scam. Got it partially reduced & they blamed it on a computer glitch after a 20 minute runaround. Went back 10 minutes later and doors locked & no one home. Felt like a classic bait & switch to me. More

The dealership is the most fraudulent, deceiving, and unprofessional company around. I was looking to lease a new Toyota Tacoma and turn in my lease that was expiring also a Toyota Tacoma. I went to one dealership that tried to role my over milage, wear and tear, disposition fee, and remaining three payments into the new lease monthly payment. I ended up walking away from that dealership and made the drive to route 44 Toyota where I originally leased the truck. The salesman, Dan Campbell at route 44 helped me when I first arrived. Before looking at any of the trucks I informed him that my current lease was over mileage. I told him I didn’t want any of the other fees to be rolled into the new lease, I wanted Toyota take care of them for me. If that couldn’t be done I said I was just going to buy out my current lease. He said that he can see what can be done. When we sat down and came to a deal on the new lease he informed me that Toyota was taking the old lease and mentioned nothing about turning in the lease to CULA the leasing company. I made a down payment of 1500 with 550 of that going to the first monthly payment. When It came to signing papers my wife signed them while I looked after our two young children on the dealership floor. After signing papers the finance manager came out with a receipt for the first months payment that my wife also made. I questioned them on that because it was already agreed upon that I made that payment. I asked for a refund which he answer that the protection plan that we purchased for $8 would now be $16 because they were using that money to lower the payment for it and not as the first payment in reality. I did not want to be there any longer so agreed on it because the paper work would have to be done over and I had two fussy children. A month later my wife was going through her bank statement and noticed that we were charged the monthly payment for the old lease, which was no longer in our possession. We contacted CULA and was told that we were still responsible for all fees and payments on the old lease because it was being turned into the leasing company by Toyota. All fees would total over $4500 dollars(3 months left on lease, wear and tear, disposition fee, and over milage). They told us that if we didn’t make the 3 remaining monthly payment the truck would be repossessed from the Toyota dealerships lot. We first contacted the salesman dan Campbell through text message to find out what was going on. He was surprised that we were being charged. He then had us deal with general sales manager John Pina. my wife dealt with him. She told me that he was no help and the most unprofessional person she has ever had to deal with. My wife works in the business sector and is constantly dealing with customers so this says a lot about John. She told me that he was yelling at her and said that I was lying to her and did the deal just because I wanted the new truck. We later talked to VP and general manager Tim Bruno who was zero help with the situation telling my wife that this was the deal I agreed on. Basically all parties were just looking out for one another absolutely no customer loyalty. Due to all of this I went over the contract to figure out why there was no consumer protection for this situation. They basically took the lease said they were going to take care of it, realized they weren’t going to make any money so turned it over to the leasing company and put an over$4500 dollar bill on our heads during a pandemic and with two young kids. We never signed anything giving them permission to turn it over to the leasing company even though it says in the contract that we should have filled out a turn in receipt upon turning over the car. The icing on the cake is that we are now just realizing that we were charged over a thousand dollars of the actual sticker price. The pricing throughout the contract isn’t consistent. This is now going on over three months of worrying about the situation. Constantly talking with CULA and the bank to try to figure out a resolution, which is now affecting our credit. This has added to the stress of what is going on with the pandemic and both of us working. This is how a multimillion dollar company treats a loyal customer and a hard working family by conducting fraudulent and deceptive car deals. More

I drive 30 minutes after work at 6:10 pm to go see the car and when I got there and chose the car and when I was about finish the purchase a sales manager by the name of A.B. Granillo came and said the price I was given is not correct and wanted to raise the price. This should not be allowed by the owners. Taking advantage of The consumer should not be allowed. I will continue to report this act to GOV agencies and all media to make sure this doesn’t happen to others. More
