I am sorry that this customer feels that we were doing something wrong. A lot of customers come in and say they will be back and never come back in. When a customer called in about the preowned vehicle that this customer wanted, he asked if he could leave a deposit and wire transfer the money for it. Not knowing that Amanda in the showroom had a customer coming back in, I sold the vehicle over the phone in my office out back. Amanda had no idea I even sold the vehicle until the customer came back in. The customer was upset and left at that time. I called the customer to apologize that I did not know she was looking at the vehicle earlier. I offered her a NEWER model for a little more money. She said she would think about it. I did not offer an older vehicle for more money, but a brand new Venza with 2 years free maintenance. I still apologize that things didn't work out to the customers satisfaction, but had she left a deposit on the vehicle it would not have been sold to another customer over the phone, because in our system it would have been marked as sold. I sold the venza over the phone and I had no idea that she had looked at it that day, or I would have called her and told her it was sold. Michelle Kantos

Although you did not offer me an older model for more money, Amanda and the Manager did! That was their solution to the vehicle being "sold". Additionally, after reading the slew of complaints on this website about your dealership doing this exact same thing to other customers, I have no doubt that this is standard operating procedure for Route 44 Toyota. And its funny, but it looks as though the car is still listed for sale on your website...strange, since it was "sold" two days ago!!! The internet is a powerful tool in today's society, as is word of mouth. I wish I had known about the sleazy tactics utilized by Route 44 Toyota before I went there, because I would have been more selective. But now I know and I will be sure to keep as many others as I can "in the know" as well.

We are sorry fot he way you feel, but Toyota does not allow supplemental transportation for repairs that are less than 8 hours. However, we would be happy to provide shuttle service.

I actually handled this call and when I checked the key was still in the key track we use, and did not have a sold tag attached. Due to salesman error, the key was not tagged as sold. I did believe the vehicle was still available and told the customer it was. When he arrived, we found out that the vehicle was actually sold. I apologize for the inconvenience, but we do have others on the lot and their was no bait and switch intention on my part.

I'm done with this. I bought a certified 2008 tundra grade 41k miles from Falmouth Toyota. I recommend Falmouth Toyota or Acton Toyota. Although Acton didn't have what I wanted John Bohr helped me out in finding info I needed.
