I would recommend this dealership probably as much as I would recommend most other dealerships I've dealt with in the past. My biggest recommendation is for any customer to stay vigilant and demand transpa would recommend most other dealerships I've dealt with in the past. My biggest recommendation is for any customer to stay vigilant and demand transparency when dealing with any dealership. What I don't like about most dealerships and this one was not an exception is lack of transparency when you sit down to sign all the documents. For example, one the forms they ask you to sign is resolution of disputes you may have with the dealership through an arbitration. If you do that you relinquish most of your right given to you by our legal system, i.e. you can no longer take them to court. I refused to sign that form. Then whole thing about lost key replacement program. You get enrolled as part of the purchase contract. The price you pay for it is already reflected in the contract and is exactly the amount it costs to replace a lost key. You see how you are being charged upfront for something that is unlikely to happen in the first place? Then there is extended liability coverage which is useless if you have full insurance coverage, which you most likely will have. I declined that one too. The problem is they just throw papers at you to sign telling you "it's just...." and when you start reading what you are signing you realize it's different from what they are telling you. Nevertheless, this is a decent dealership and they don't take things personally when you raise objections. Good luck and try to be vigilant. More
"Vinnie'" was no help at all - Did not "Vinnie'" was no help at all - Did not know difference between S and SR version of the vehicle - Could not work the computer system in the office - "Vinnie'" was no help at all - Did not know difference between S and SR version of the vehicle - Could not work the computer system in the office - Didn't know how to get an apprisal on our trade in. - Had no pen, business card etc etc - "Hoped" the battery was not dead in the car we wanted to test drive - We talked to 2 other salespeople who didn't even know who "Vinnie" was. Also - 2 managers (Vinnie brought them into the conversation) told us they would honor the internet price for the vehicle even though we did not technically qualify for the doscount (very small print at the bottom of the internet page). Recent graduate - "had to graduate in the last 6 months to qualify". Don't know of colleges that have graduations in Sept, Oct, Nov, Jan or Feb so how can you qualify for this discount??? Internet price was never honored - all price discussions started out at the non-internet price which was $2k higher. Wasted 5 hours of our time - never again!! More
I read a lot of reviews about this place and knew what to look for. I am a fine print reader so I knew all the tricks before hand, and let me tell you, I bought a used car and without a doubt even with thei look for. I am a fine print reader so I knew all the tricks before hand, and let me tell you, I bought a used car and without a doubt even with their rebates added to the car it still blew other dealers prices away. I don't how they do it but keep it up. Great deal, great people especially Ed and Frank in the paperwork office. They were both very informative, thank you route 46 for the great deal. More
LIARS!!! Do not waste your time with this bunch of scammers! I called to ask if the four Toyota Corollas on the website were in stock and was told that they all were. I immediately drove there and whe scammers! I called to ask if the four Toyota Corollas on the website were in stock and was told that they all were. I immediately drove there and when I got there 30 minutes later they told me they just sold all 4! I was the only customer in the place and they were obviously lying. Please listen to the reviews. Do not waste your time here and do not believe their lies! More
My journey began with receiving letters in the mail from this dealer saying they were interested in buying my currently financed 08 Jeep Compass outright if I would consider getting a new car. It was somet this dealer saying they were interested in buying my currently financed 08 Jeep Compass outright if I would consider getting a new car. It was something I constantly considered doing, since I owed close to 10K on it still and, quite frankly, was tired of it. I came into the dealership and was introduced to Jennifer Attilio. All I can say is my experience from there on was nothing short of amazing. Jennifer is a very knowledgeable individual on every vehicle in their inventory. She treated me like I was a friend of hers from the second I sat down with her, to even now, after my purchase of my 13 Cherokee. I will be referring all my friends and family to her with tremendously high praise, as I felt extremely comfortable with her through the entire process. I feel like this is a trait everyone in the car dealing business should strive for, as before I met her, I always felt as if I was looked at as just another dollar sign walking into any dealership doors. But that has changed, and I must commend Jennifer for sparking this change. If you are interested in purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, do yourself a favor and ask for Jen. I'm normally not one to write a review for anything, but I can't let an experience like that go unobserved. I hope this helps. More
I have to join the list of recent customers to bash this dealer. Emailed and called up about an internet LEASE special that was advertised on their site. Spoke to a Mike who said Yes, in stock and set up dealer. Emailed and called up about an internet LEASE special that was advertised on their site. Spoke to a Mike who said Yes, in stock and set up an appointment to see the jeep. Get to dealership next day, and was given to salesman Bob Vanway. Immediately, told him I was there to see the special and gave him a copy of the advertisement. He went away for a few minutes and came back to tell me that the car was sold, but that they had others similar. No problem, I had printed out several window stickers of jeeps i wanted to see, all within the same MSRP as the special. As we went out to take a look at the jeep, low and behold, the one in the ad was on the lot. Bob was kind of embarrassed to see it sitting there. Again, no big deal, maybe it was on sold and on hold. So i found another one and when we went to do the paperwork, he went to the manager and came back saying the jeep i selected would be 299/mo, or $100 more than the advertised one. He went on to explain it was $100 more a month because incentives were applied to the one advertised. Victim of the classic bait and switch I left. The ad remained active for 2 weeks after I left and the jeep is still on their inventory. SHAME on you guys. More
Drove up from Maryland this morning and spent the day in NJ looking for an Audi A5 3.2L Manual car. Looked on AutoTrader and Cars.com and found what we thought was a great deal on a 2009 car. The price lis NJ looking for an Audi A5 3.2L Manual car. Looked on AutoTrader and Cars.com and found what we thought was a great deal on a 2009 car. The price listed on BOTH websites was $28,900. (There were no disclaimers indicating that this was not in fact the true price. Trust me, I'm anal and I read EVERYTHING!) My friend called the dealership to inquire about the car and it's price, and to see if it was still available. The lady told us the car was still on the lot and would be ready for a test drive upon our arrival in 20 minutes. (I was skeptical about going to this dealership after reading all of the horrible reviews online, but my friend told me to be optimistic and at least check out the car.) Whew, when we arrived, this place was a mad house! The employees and the customers were all over the place. A sales guy by the name of Marcellus did greet us shortly after we walked in. I told him which car I was there to see and he got the keys and allowed me to test drive it as promised. The car was dirty, but overall the exterior looked pretty good. However, as soon as I opened the door, the car reaked of cigarette smoke. Marcellus told me not to worry as he promised that if this was the car I chose to buy, he would guarantee that the smoke smell would be eliminated. He even explained their entire detailing process and how the car would be satisfactory at pick-up. The car felt good when I drove it and I told my friend that I was interested in purchasing the vehicle. When we arrived back from the test drive, Marcellus was not available because he was assisting another customer. There was another sales guy outside (can't remember his name) but he told us that Marcellus instructed him to assist us in his absence. We told the guy that we were interested in purchasing the car and would like to take the next steps. This guy takes us into the office and starts asking for all of my personal information. At first, I rolled with it thinking he was just setting up my profile in their customer database, but then he asked for my SS#. So I stopped and asked, what are you needing this information for. He says, "I'm getting process started for your financing." I informed this man that first of all, I have my own financing already set up, and second I'm not ready to sign on the dotted line as I want to review the final price, fees, and other contigencies (such as that cigarette smoke smell) before firming up the offer. He starts talking loudly about how they can't promise or guarantee anything about that smoke smell! I calmy told him that Marcellus had told us something different. He then hollers, "And they're not going to fix those dings and scratches either!" I informed him again, that Marcellus had told us earlier in the parking lot that getting those dings and scratches out before pick-up would be no problem. It was as if this guy and Marcellus worked for two different companies. This guy then tried to tell us that the car was not $28,900 but would be $30,900 b/c the price listed on the internet was for **Return customers ($1000 discount) AND New Grads ($1000 discount)**. WTH!?! So I asked him where did it say that, b/c that was not listed as a disclaimer anywhere. He looked at both of the websites with his own 2 eyes and said, "Well that's just how it works, in order to get that internet price of $28,900 you gotta be a repeat customer AND be a recent grad." Who the heck is a repeat customer AND a recent grad?? Why even list the $28,900 internet price if it will only apply to less than 5% of their customers?? So we told the guy no, and to please go get Marcellus. Marcellus comes over and says the same BS. Can't show it on the website and kept saying, "That's how it works here and the manager won't accept the internet asking price." My friend and I stood up, told him it was nice meeting him, and rolled the heck out of there. People, stay clear of this clown show if you can! I read the reviews online and regardless of what I read, I went in there with high hopes.... Sadly enough, the reviews of this place are true. :-/ Word of advice to Marcellus, you're a great sales person with lots of personality. Please quit this place and go work for a reputable dealership with true leadership that can support you. This place could mess up your reputation! More
Advertised a vehcile available. Recieved a call to come in and they have the vehicle in stock ready for a test drive, around 8am. Arrived at dealership at 930, was told to wait because Ed was with another in and they have the vehicle in stock ready for a test drive, around 8am. Arrived at dealership at 930, was told to wait because Ed was with another customer despite an appointment but no big deal. Waited about 45mins atleast, in the mean time walked around observed that they didn't have the vehicle. Ed comes out and says sorry our inventory says we do but we sold it already. Informed him spoke to someone saying they have the car, therefore drove 90mins to the dealership. No appology but on the bright side, worth it i would want to deal with a terrible unfriendly dealership anyway. Bankrupty wont be a bad idea for this place, opportunity to get rid of the poor management and restructure. More
Don't ever buy a car from this dealership. I hope others agree. The people and the service all terrible. If I could rate 0 stars I would. I would never recommend anyone buy a car here. It is hard to believe this is a real Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Dealership. It should be called "The Route 46 Dope'em & Rope'em Used Car Rodeo" as the advertised "Internet" price of a used car listed on the Dodge Dealership. It should be called "The Route 46 Dope'em & Rope'em Used Car Rodeo" as the advertised "Internet" price of a used car listed on their site is not even close to the real asking price. They rope you in with a dopey price that has $2,000 of undefined "rebates" built into it without so much as a single asterisk anywhere on it to indicate the price has conditions. To find the conditions you have scroll to the bottom of the Previously Owned Vehicle Inventory page where(if you are really paying very close attention)the line "All vehicle prices reflect $1000 Route 46 Chrysler Owner Loyalty Rebate, and $1000 College Grad Rebate" is shown buried directly under another line of unrelated text. Who ever heard of a rebate on a used car...much less two totaling $2,000. Worse the rebates are not defined! Who qualifies for a "Route 46 Chrysler Owner Loyalty Rebate"..just previous Route 46 customers who currently own a Chrysler purchased on a Thursday? What is a "college grad"...anyone with any kind of college diploma, or only those with a Bachelor's degree. Is it only someone currently enrolled in a Graduate program perhaps or something else completely? Who knows? They obviously don't want anyone to know because if you knew what they were trying to pull no one would go anywhere near the place. Reid Bigland and the execs @ Chrysler Group, LLC are not going to be happy when they hear about the shenanigans John Sweeney and his Dope'em & Rope'em cowboys are doing dragging the Chrysler name down in their under-handed, possibily illegal, sales methods.
