The people were pleasant to deal with and the place was quiet and comfortable. Don't forget to ask for Denise. She was the one who showed me and my family that great customer care. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say, but I'm going to say anyway that she picked us up at our place and she also had to drive back to our place for a second time for my wife to get a document she left at home. It was specially pleasant after having been to quite a few dealerships recently shopping around for my soon to be daily driver and having not so good experience with 2 and a really bad one with one dealership. It was like you owe people explanation why you're not "buying today". Coming from another place where you are treated really well when buying a car, I was quickly coming to a conclusion that Texas Car Dealers are not at all service oriented and just want to sell cars no matter what it takes. Luckily, Denise and Russell & Smith Honda showed that it isn't true to all dealerships here. So next time your dealership starts being pushy and rude, just walk away and come to this place instead. I'm sure there are other good places to buy cars from, but I've only been to about 7 or 8 of them and this one is the best for me. FYI, I've also had good experience shopping around for a Jeep and a Subaru today. So yeah, I'm glad that not all Texas dealership have bad customer service. I hope those that show good service will get more customers so do come and try this one. Oh, I almost forgot. I got a good price and deal with them as well. More
Terrible! My wife and I bought a used VW Passat from this dealership on March 3rd. We were told that the car had been thoroughly checked out and serviced by the My wife and I bought a used VW Passat from this dealership on March 3rd. We were told that the car had been thoroughly checked out and serviced by the dealership and was ready to go. They were either lying or ignorant of the state of the vehicle. The following list of problems was noticed by my wife and myself after driving the car home. (1) Low beam headlights were only shining about 10 feet in front of the car. (2) Oil appeared black and OVERFILLED on the dipstick. (3) Passenger side taillight lens was not seated properly. (4) Wheel alignment was off. We discovered this when getting the oil changed at a VW dealer in Corpus Christi. I adjusted the headlights myself so that the car could be driven safely after dark. After getting the oil changed at the VW dealer, I checked it several days later and it still looked clean (not black) and NOT overfilled. I removed the taillight lens and seated it properly before tightening it into place. We got the lifetime alignment through VW so we shouldn't have to worry about that expense again. Now here's the kicker. On 4-11-15, we get a call from Russell and Smith Honda to verify that we had not received the license plates for the car. Then we are told that we need to bring the car in to get it inspected because the Vehicle Inspection Report paperwork cannot be located and we cannot get the license plates until we get a vehicle inspection. After informing the person on the phone that we live 3 hours away and will not drive 6 total hours of driving to get something done that should have already been taken care of, we are told that we can get the car inspected here and send them the VIR and receipt and they will reimburse us for the cost of the inspection. (By the way, the car has a CURRENT inspection sticker that does not expire until 12/15 AND they charged us for an inspection in the purchase price of the vehicle.) We truly REGRET buying a vehicle from a dealership that is either being dishonest or just not paying attention to the details of paperwork and service and the condition of the vehicles that they are selling. Caveat emptor! Update: As of MAY 1st, almost 2 MONTHS after buying the car, we still have not received the license plates for this vehicle nor has anyone called us saying that the plates are on the way this is despite the fact that I called and left a voice mail message in the mailbox of Mr. Stephen Vo.
