Some of the other dealerships didn't even respond to my request for a bid on a new vehicle. We made arrangement to meet with Danny Morse the next day. After a test drive and a brief discussion on what options best suited our needs, we purchased the vehicle. There was never any presssure or sales tactics. We had a hood air deflector installed and the only reason they didn't score the highest in the Quality of Work question was because the part wasn't in stock. On our return visit to pick up the vehicle, Danny worked with both of us to explain and setup many of the technical options. They didn't just take our money, hand us an owner's manual, and send us on our way. This type of personal service after the purchase is rare. Thanks! More

When the dealership did not have the exact make/model of the car we wanted, he was able to work with another dealership to get the car within a week's time. I could not have asked for a greater experience in buying a new car! He was a very educated gentleman and not a pushy salesman. It was really easy to see that Russell and Smith Honda was more like a family than a business with sincere and genuine warmth and friendliness. When the day came to buy the car Alfredo's friend and tag-team partner Danny Gonzales was there and what a gift he was! Danny was very down-to-earth, succint and quick! He completely tailored and streamlined the process to meet my needs. It was the best car buying experience I have ever had! Not to mention the car was available to drive out almost immediately! I have never had a dealership give me the car within three hours of buying it before! I could not be happier! There is nothing they could have done to help more. I was treated like royalty! I was given a great deal and I was there for an immediate purchase seeing as how my previous car had died the night before! More
I didn't include Russell and Smith in my original request for internet bids. But later, I saw their high rating on this site and decided to do so. I ended up buying the car from them. The salesman (Danny) supplied all the information I asked for promptly and completely. No delaying tactics, no flim-flam. (Two other dealers on my list seemed to want to drag me into the show rooms instead of simply giving me their price. So I especially appreciated Danny's straight-forward and responsive approach.) Russell and Smith's initial offer was $1800 below MSRP - far better than my local dealer,who claimed he couldn't come down more at $100 below MSRP (after several face to face conversations). All of this indicated to me early on that Russell and Smith were the kind of people I prefer to deal with. As the bids came in, I negotiated back and forth with all parties. Russell and Smith came in almost the lowest, and based on my impressions so far, I decided to buy it from them. When I got there I asked them for an offer on my old car. We went back and forth for about an hour. This part of the car buying process is seldom any fun - both sides vying for the most money. But the "character" of the dealership came through again when the Sales Manager (Dino) took over from my salesman. Dino and I wrangled for 30 mins or more. He was consistently polite and respectful. He was never aggressive, pushy, beligerent or combative like many dealers are at this phase of negotiations. I had the impression he was trying to make it a good deal for both them and me. And he ended up giving me a fair price for the old car. Thanks again Dino. I really appreciated the professional way you handled this. Finance was next. We were on the last form when Amy realized that a new interest rate had just been announced that was not available hours before when I checked. She offerred to update the paperwork and get me the new rate. (Yes, I suspect that dealers get a fee for sending customers to Honda Finance. But you'd have had to be there to see that she really went the extra mile on this one.) This was a great buying experience. More

Normally, i dont write a review AT ALL but i had to write one for Dung Lee. He was able to work with us in getting the drive out price lowered. and he actually did get the price lowered. he will listen to one for Dung Lee. It is my first brand new car so i wanted to make sure i get a great deal. I am happy i was able to meet a salesman like Dung, because it is hard to find a good salesman. Also, Darrell from finance was able to give us a good APR rate. I recommend those two. They have patience and will actually try to meet you at the middle if you are on a budget! More

Russell & Smith repaired CRV & Certified it with non-Honda part before I bought it. Wouldn't repair it with Honda parts once I had issues with THEIR botched repair job & they denied doing it. They also "lost" the certification checklist paperwork on the CRV when we pursued Honda about it. They also charged me for services that were covered under my warranty. Go to Clear Lake Honda, much better service & honesty!! Sadly I drove past other Honda dealers to get my CRV serviced at Russell & Smith, thinking they would take care of me best because I bought there. BIG MISTAKE & wasted fuel! :/ never again! More
