I assisted my brother-in-law in buying a new 2012 Odyssey at Russell & Smith Honda earlier today. This was the easiest, quickest and most pleasant car purchasing experience we've ever experienced. Mr. Fred Leber was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly consistent with everything he said on the phone before we even set foot in the showroom about pricing, options, and accessories. Mr. Leber was very patient, answered all our questions, explained everything carefully and thoroughly and never attempted to sell us anything more than what we wanted. Mr. Leber was also very easy to get along with, kind of like talking to a friend you've known for a long time. When it came time for financing, Mr. Santos Cabrera, handled the paperwork with promptness, professionalism, and all with a smile on his face. I told Mr. Cabrera as soon as we entered his office that we weren't interested in any additional services or an extended warranty and he said that he would bring to our attention only those things he was required to point out or explain. He did exactly that and we were out of his office in 15 minutes with a smile on our faces to go along with his. Mr. Leber and Mr. Cabrera are an asset to this dealership and I will not hesitate to recommend family and friends to Russell & Smith Honda. Thank you. Joseph More
On my first visit to Russell and Smith Honda. John Huffman greeted me and listened to me when I told him I was car shopping for another car. My Toyota corolla has served me well and fits me to a T. I told him all the different cars makes and models I was going to be test driving and since my 12 year old car was running just fine, I was not in a rush. I found him very knowledgeable about everything about the Hondas-- fitting in my likes and dislikes, must haves, would be nice, and not necessary, the best time to buy, and features in the upcoming year model. Boy has car technology sure has changed in 12 years and he was on top of all of the bells and whistles. I sat in several cars taking note of interior, head & leg room, and trunk space. I test drove them checking out road noise, sound system, feel, and display. He hung in with me closing the shop down that day. I now had my base to compare other cars. I did this at all the dealerships, flat out walking out of one when the salesman ignored me when I told him I wasn't buying anything today, just shopping. I came back to Russell & Smith Honda when I had done all the comparable cars, not just for the car; but for what I didn't get with John Huffman -- I didn't get the car buying pressure when all I was looking for was information. When I came back, John Huffman was there and he remembered me. I was back to check out the Civic and the Accord. I wasn't feeling the body style of the Civic, even with the better gas mileage, so the Accord was my choice depending on the financing. That's when I met Santos Lazo. He explained everything thoroughly about the financing and warranty and answered all of my questions. I signed all the papework -- that was easy and Santos was easy to talk to. I wanted tint windows, but once again I was closing the shop down and was in a pickle, I couldn't drive 2 cars. I left my new car there to get the tint and I agreed John Huffman would pick me up tomorrow in my car. The next day John said he was on his way-then it started to rain. John Huffman was very thoughtful, he didn't come to pick me up as planned, instead he brought the car to me, being tailed by Honda van his own ride back-- I didn't even have to get wet! Now that's customer service! More
I have been looking for a car for the past two weeks,I went to multiple dealerships that gave me such a hassle and run around,so I went to Honda expecting the same it was going to be my last try,I met Ray went to multiple dealerships that gave me such a hassle and run around,so I went to Honda expecting the same it was going to be my last try,I met Ray and he was very helpful he explained everything and made the process very easy for me,Roberto was great also he was helpful and very nice,I ended up buying a Honda because of them two,I definitely would recommend them. My experience with Russell & Smith Honda was a very positive one. My salesperson, Jon Moore, was very knowledgeable and communicative throughout the entire sale. The dealership was very busy that day, but I felt like the wait was minimal considering. I feel like a got a fair price on my vehicle, and the finance manager was very easy to do business with and not pushy like experiences I've had elsewhere. The reason I did not give all 5s is because there is a few small issues with the car that could have been resolved with more thorough inspection. First, the battery was defective and was causing the VSA warning light to come on randomly. A short trip to my local Honda dealership and the battery was warrantied. The other issue I have is the rear deck in the vehicle rattles pretty badly. I have yet to have this issue resolved. There is a TSB out for this issue but the fix has already been applied. My theory is that whoever put aftermarket speakers in the vehicle did not fasten them in properly, or the rear deck was not reinstalled correctly. My local dealership will not address this issue under warranty due to the speakers being aftermarket. Aside from the minor issues I have with the vehicle that I think can be addressed rather easily, Russell & Smith Honda delivered a very positive experience. I have no issues recommending them to others. More
I have never been more impressed with a dealership. After bad experiences at two other dealerships and frustrated on a Friday night, I sent one last email to Russell and Smith Honda. Woke up Saturday morning to a welcome email, phone call from Ray Huddleston and a personal quote within the hour. Ray was on top of his game and is a beautiful person on the inside and a teddy bear on the outside. What he says he does and stands by his word. After driving an 1 1/2 hrs, well worth it, I arrived to meet Ray and my new CRV. After reviewing the paperwork, it matched to the penny what we agreed to earlier. No muss, no fuss. I thought I would be handed over to the wolves, called the finance dept, but nothing was further from the truth. Roberto was the kindest, professional I have ever not had to argue with. Simply stated the options and the cost. No arguing, no pressure. Amazing! I kept asking where the hidden cameras were. The overall experience was one I will never forget and feel confident that when I am ready for a new vehicle...this is the one and only place I will be contacting. I would recommend Russell & Smith Honda because as soon as I walked in Jon greeted me and started talking to me about what kind of car I should think of getting since I was a first time car buyer, he soon as I walked in Jon greeted me and started talking to me about what kind of car I should think of getting since I was a first time car buyer, he showed me the CR-V, the Civic, the Accord and the Fit. He told me all about each one's safety features which is very important to me as well as the gas milage. He showed me all of the inside technology like the navigation system with bluetooth handsfree and voice commands. We talked about their hauling capacity (mainly on the CR-V and the fit) which was awesome. At first I wasn't too sure about the Fit because I don't normaly like the way they look but I really loved the inside of the Fit it was so spacious I couldn't believe that my boyfriend fit inside (he's a little over 6ft). I'm glad Jon showed it to me he said it was the perfect car for me and he's right, he even drove all the way to another Honda dealership to trade one of theirs for the one I wanted. Jon called me to let me know my Fit waiting for me, I went in with my mom and my dad, I get there and there she was with a big bow on her (she was my birthday gift) it was love at first sight. She has the navigation, the perfect color, she's tiny like me and I love that the back seats fold down flat (AWESOME!!). Jon even talked to my parents about the safety feautres, what parent doesn't love to hear about Dual-stage airbags, side-impact door beams, front and rear crumple zones. I am loving my Fit so much beacuse I only spend about $30 or so on gas every other week, who wouldn't love that. The only thing I don't like is that I want to keep it clean all the time and I know that's not possible. I'm really glad that I went to Russle and Smith Honda and Jon was nice enough to get the perfect Fit for me. More

This was the easiest car buying experience ever. I didn't have to sit in the dealership for hours on end. I went, picked out my car, negotiated, went to work and they called me to pick up my car by the end o have to sit in the dealership for hours on end. From management to sales to service everyone I have ever dealt with has been gracious and accommodating and obviously had my best interests in mind. I have and will continue to refer my friends and colleagues to Russell & Smith, as I know they will be well taken care of, no matter what model vehicle they are interested in purchasing. I always look forward to seeing the staff like Janet Cousins,Ray Huddleston and Jack Carney, when I am ready to buy new and even when I am just in for a service.
