Prior to purchasing my 2011 Honda Accord, I went to USAA car buying service and requested an internet quote. I received a quote from 4 different dealerships. I visited 3 out of the 4 and contacted all 4. car buying service and requested an internet quote. I received a quote from 4 different dealerships. I visited 3 out of the 4 and contacted all 4. One of the sales persons was going to be on vacation so I didnt get to see him. Of the other 2 that I saw, one was helpful and gave a starting point but didnt honor the quote until I showed him what I had from another dealership. Also they didnt want to give me much for my trade in, so I sold my 1999 Honda Accord to Texas Direct Auto where I got $550 more than the dealership offered. The second salesperson/dealership lied about the inventory and kept me waiting for an hour and a half trying to negotiate the rate. After I showed him what I had in my hand and tried to leave, he finally met my final amount. By that time I was exhausted and almost didnt want to purchase another Honda. After a couple of days I met with Fred Leber at Russell and Smith. I had all my paperwork and told him what I wanted and what I wanted to spend. Within 30 minutes he met my offer and an hour later I had my car. Thanks to Fred and everyone that made it happen. A car is a car is a car. A bad experience can last a lifetime. A good experience will bring me back and I will let all my family and friends know about it. More

I was treated fairly and honestly (car shopping alone as a single young woman, I was mentally prepared to stand up for myself, in case any salesman should try to pull a fast one on me. This preparation was completely unnecessary with Kelli, though I cannot say the same for other dealers I visited). Just when I thought it was impossible that I could have any better of an experience, I met Roberto, who led me through the contract signing portion of my visit. Here again, friendliness and a little sense of humor made the time pass quickly. What might have been dull or confusing was clearly explained, and only added to my sense of confidence in my purchase. After dealing with several dealerships, and being extremely frustrated and tired of "run arounds" and lied to. I found a vehical on the internet that was what we were looking for. I was afraid to call because EVERY other dealership I had been dealing with would tell me they had the car there, and when I would get there, it wouldnt be there or it was a junk! I called Tom Melanson,Internet Sales Mgr and asked him to please be honest w/me upfront, as I would do the same. He promised he would hold the car by that afternoon, and it was there when I arrived. Not only was the car there,but it was the nicest car we had seen, after looking at tons of used Honda Civics. This car was in perfect shape, low milage, car fax avilable,still under warrantly and good price! While I waited for my husband in the lobby with our three kids, we we constantly greeted and everyone was friendly and helpful.Even the finance Mgr was extremly nice, Andy Nguyen.On our way home, we were having dinner at a local resturant, and we were visited by Tom Melanson (the Sales Mgr.), he was dropping off our garage opener we had left in our trade in. My experiences started with Kelli Joiner, Sales Consultant who by far went the extra mile in describing the various Honda cars and literally taking an entire day just to work with me on the selection process as well as helpful tips in making sure I selected the right car. After this process was completed, Mr. Simon Sabo worked diligently to ensure that I could get a payment that would work within my budget. And lastly, their Finance Rep.- Andy ensured that all of my questions were answered during the signing of the actual contract. I consider myself a savvy consumer who understands the process for a sale does not end after the contract has been signed. There is no doubt in my mind that Russell and Smith Honda is by far the best dealership in the entire automotive industry, as they actually helped me trade in my 2011 Honda Civic that I had for only 5 months for the newer body style of the 2012 Honda Civic that I am now the proud owner of.
