I am not one to write reviews but thought Ray Huddleston deserved a special mention. After looking at the 2011 Sienna, and debating whether to wait for the 2011 Odyssey (wasn't sure I liked the funky light deserved a special mention. After looking at the 2011 Sienna, and debating whether to wait for the 2011 Odyssey (wasn't sure I liked the funky lighting bolt design), I decided to go ahead and purchase the 2010 Odyssey. I submitted a price request online to 5 dealerships. The first round of responses usually do not include the line item details like tax, title, license, document fee, or dealer-installed options. So, in requesting full-disclosure of the drive out price, only Ray and two other dealers provided the pricing details. (BTW, there was one dealer who had added lots of dealer-installed options, all of which I did not want or need.) The last two dealers were not very responsive overall and dropped out of the running immediately. Ray provided the best no-haggle price so we talked on the phone and scheduled a time to perform the test drive. I had read the good reviews about Ray but since I am skeptical by nature, my expectations were not set very high. Well, I am happy to say that Ray is genuinely a nice guy and very personable. I felt he was thorough in explaining all of the features and funcationality of the van. The final price was exactly what was quoted beforehand. The Business Office tried to sell us the 8 yr warranty but we declined. Figure all of the expensive repairs would happen after 8 yrs anyway. My husband is looking for a new car and we will go back to Ray and Russell & Smith if we decide on another Honda. Thanks Ray! More
I received a quote via email from this dealership (from Dung Le) and it was the lowest one from any other Houston area Honda dealers. When I arrived I had the opportunity to work with Jon Moore who show Dung Le) and it was the lowest one from any other Houston area Honda dealers. When I arrived I had the opportunity to work with Jon Moore who showed us the 2010 Honda Odyssey I had been quoted. He was very curtious and knowledgeable about the vehicle. Very professional I might add. This was a very good experience for us, we had no pressure and Jon answered all of our questions. I would truly recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy a Honda! This is possibly the first time in over 30 years of buying cars that I would actually recommend a dealer and a salesman. After doing my homework, I requested a price from Russell and Smith online and Ray Huddleston presented me with a very competitive price from the start. Ray was professional, didn't play any games (unlike many people in car sales), and most importantly, didn't low-ball me - when I came in to buy, he stuck to the pricing structure he quoted. Ray is a decent guy who treated us right...yes, I can tell you that you won't have a stressful buying experience with this guy. This was probably the most pleasant car buying experience I've had (and I've bought more than a dozen cars over the years), I felt no pressure whatsoever. I honestly would go back to Ray for a car in the future - if you're shopping for a Honda, you owe it to yourself to at least talk to him before you buy. I doubt you'll be disappointed. Another Honda dealer down the road beginning with "G" had ALL their cars loaded with dealer packs to jack up the prices, but Russell & Smith didn't do this; they had window tinting on a few of the cars, but that's it (we actually liked the tint and got it, this IS Houston for crying out loud, it's 97 degrees right now). Everyone at Russell and Smith was friendly; I have no complaints whatsoever. I'm starting to sound like I work there, but this is for real. Put this place (and Ray Huddleston) on your shopping list. I just leased a new Honda Accord Sedan from Ray Huddleston and my experience was wonderful. I have never done a lease before and I really wasnt sure of the process. I had been looking around at other dealerships for a while to find a good deal but Ray was the first person to give me straightforward answers to prices and processes. A few other dealerships gave me the run around with prices, had things hidden in the contract, and were very rude, very unprofessional, and very unknowledgable about their stock and the contents of a contract. Ray Huddleston and the other staff at Russell & Smith are very professional and were very quick and happy to answer any question or concern I had. If you want a down to earth salesman and business dept that wont give you the run around, won't pressure you into something you don't want or can't afford and actually want to make the customer happy, then visit Ray Huddleston at Russell & Smith. I definitely recommend this dealership to anyone wanting a great deal on a Honda and a friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. More
Wonderful experience! Had gotten "trapped" for 3 hours at another dealer and were tense about facing another car salesman. Russell Smith was such a treat. No pressure. Very patient. Gave us good price. No inflated promises or prices. For example, my husband wanted one special mirror. The price quoted by other dealers was $200 to $350 higher. Checked BBB on several dealers. One dealer wasn't a member. Three had a good rating but had to deal with 13-17 complaints. RS has an excellent rating with only 5 settled complaints. Also, Nang gave very helpful advice on several needs we had. Andy in finance was patient while we made decisions and he got all the paper work done quickly. As we show off our new car and relate our wonderful experience, we have found a friend and a neighbor who both are in the market for a new car or truck and so glad to hear about Russell Smith. More
