The process of buying a car while the kids are with you can be a very daunting task, but the staff at Russell and Smith are great with the kids. We had come in-person and talked with internet "sales" manager Dung Le. To keep a long story short, he did not act very eager to make any sort of deal on a car. In fact, he spent longer telling me (condescendingly) that I was being unrealistic on price, bad-mouthing other dealerships by name, and telling me that no other dealership would match my price. Turns out he was wrong -- within two days of that visit I had quotes in writing BEATING the price I asked of him. We bought about a week later for an out-the-door price that beat his "invoice" price by more than a grand; no hassles, no gimmicks, no bad-mouthing other dealerships. And don't believe all the stellar reviews -- these sales managers push their satisfied customers to post glowing ratings so that they can use them against other dealers. To sum it up -- look elsewhere, there are better, honest dealerships in the Houston area that are willing to deal. The one we ended up buying from doesn't even register with this site! More
