He is THE BEST of what one hopes for in a car salesman: candid, prompt with follow-up emails and return calls, and doing what they say they will do. Last Tuesday when we went to pick up the car, most importantly to us, he spent over 2 hours walking us step-by-step through the technology, helping us learn what we needed to know to operate it safely. As it had been 12 years since we purchased a new car, technological advances meant many changes from what we were used to. Steve was patient, respectful and kind in answering our many questions, even repeating when necessary. He even gave us extra time to pair our phones to Blue Tooth and assist with our registering for Star Link. We’ve bought many cars in our lifetime, and without question, Steve surpasses EVERY salesman either of us have ever dealt with. He made it a positive and memorable experience! Phil went above and beyond. Their pricing is not as aggressive as other dealerships and we found better deals in our home state. But...just buyer beware on a lot of the dealerships advertising much lower pricing and incentives up front. They are more than likely showing you numbers that you do not qualify for to lure you in. And I don't mean based on credit, because I have near perfect credit. After working with five dealerships trying to purchase a vehicle, this was the case almost every time. The online price is not the actual price. The pricing from Rutland VW was in the range of the actual pricing from the other dealerships that advertise lower prices. So it's certainly worth checking out Rutland, even if they don't show the best price online! They are very nice folks and great to work with. We will definitely consider them in the future! More
