I had researched several on-line sites when looking to buy a gently used Buick LaCrosse and found 1 my husband and I really liked at Ryan Chevrolet. We went to Ryan's to see and test drive the car and Jake Jacobson was the salesman we dealt with. He was very friendly with a non-pressured approach and after some thought we decided to buy the car. Jake went out of his way to accomodate us when we came back to pick up the car-the process was fast and efficient. We were looking for a specific pre-owned car and researched online first as we were traveling a distance to find the right one. When looking at the car at Ryan's we were not told upfront that th researched online first as we were traveling a distance to find the right one. When looking at the car at Ryan's we were not told upfront that the car had been a GM return. We really liked the car and it was/had the perfect color, miles, options etc. We did notice the carpets were wet when test driving it. We left as we had others to look at. Honestly, nothing appealed to us the way the car at Ryan did. We found this car to be the color we wanted and they were harder to find. When trying to negotiate the best price along with trade-in value of our car we were still not told that the car had a branded title. We found out after we asked and we were trying to negotiate a price. We finally agreed to pay the price they were asking, Ryan didn't negotiate the price nor did they give us a good trade-in price on our car but the car was what we wanted and we were considering buying new. Buying pre-owned would save us a lot of money. We went back down to drive it one more time and asked about the carpets. We were told that there may be a leak and they would pull out the carpet and replace them with new after they found if it had a leak. We arranged to pick the car up later in the week after the leak was checked. When we came to get the car, we were told that they found the leak, fixed it but didn't replace the carpets as they didn't need to. We felt that the customer service was lacking. They knew we weren't coming back down a fourth time to get carpets replaced. We had already traveled over 500 miles just to their dealership.We were hoping that a little more integrity would have been shown. All of that being said, we do love the car, haven't had any problems and we did think Bruce was an all around nice guy to deal with. He did his job and made us feel comfortable with the purchase. I was a bit skeptical to use the coupon that I cut from the local paper. The initial encounter with the service advisor was professional and informative.
