Firstly thank you for being a valued customer of our store and for your recent purchase. It is certainly not our intent that you have a feeling of being less than satisfied with the service you received from us and we would like to offer an explanation as to the numbers you are seeing. The value that we arrived at for your 2005 Silverado with 172k plus miles was based on its condition at the time of trade and not on the value at a future sale date, after we had reconditioned it to a point necessary for a future buyer. It was clear to us that work would be needed in our service department to the airbag safety system, the braking system and in the body shop department, along with updating any maintenance work that needed doing and a detail, before the vehicle could be retailed. Indeed, the vehicle did require new brakes and rotors, both front and rear, new sensors for the air bag deployment system, along with maintenance items and is yet to go to the body shop for repairs. The price you see online reflects all of these expenses and, naturally, a fair profit to the dealership. It is also an asking price and there are no guarantees that after our marketing efforts we will attract a buyer at that price. I have asked our sales manager Brian Marks to reach out to you and answer any further questions you may have and re-enforce your value to us as customer of the dealership. I sincerely hope that this response is in some way a comfort to you that is the case.
