Safford Dodge of Fredericksburg sold me my very first car (and second!) many many years ago. I strayed from them for my third car and I hated that I did that! I was in need of a newer car and due to my previously bad car purchase at another place, I just knew I had to go back to Safford. I browsed online at their used inventory and found a car that I loved and very much wanted to test drive. It was a 2012 Dodge Avenger and the car had low miles for a fantastic price! I contact the dealership to find out that the car was actually located in Winchester, but they set me up for a test drive on another Avenger to see if I liked it. I went in that night and found Dario. Dario was a GOD SEND! He was super super nice and very helpful in finding an Avenger to test drive. He answered all of my questions and was very patient and pleasant while I was driving/deciding on what to do. The car was a steal! So I had to get it. I signed the paperwork to get the ball rolling and the dealership would transport the car from Winchester to Fburg for me. Dario was the icing on the cake. Very personable. NOT pushy. Patient. Customer focused. Happy to talk and tell stories to pass the time. He was like an old friend actually. I am thankful to have had him give me a hand in my quest for a newer car. Thank you so much, Dario! I will come visit you when I have to get the oil changed, etc. and we can check out the other cars! :-) More
We are new to Virginia and our family needed a bigger vehicle. Over the course of about a week we had visited several dealerships around the Fredericksburg area; and the service and deals we were offere vehicle. On a whim we stopped by Safford and the service and price were top notch! We were in and out with a new vehicle in just under two hours!! Never have we had such great, friendly, and professional service as at Safford. I would recommend this dealership and especially our professional salesman, Ben Clarke, to any and everyone! I am very happy with Safford experience. Chris was excellent, carefully explaining everything to be done, offering coffee, and even recommending lunch places in the area while I waited. I corresponded with AL thru emails and he was very helpful in finding the truck I wanted. Once I met with him in person it was great. My wife took me in to look at the new 2013 Dodge Caravan as we are expecting our 2nd child and our truck will no longer fit our family. We pulled up to the dealership and were welcomed in. We sat down and told him what we were looking for and he took us outside and showed us the selection available. They did not have the color my wife wanted which was white, but they had another van with all the options we wanted in a steel color. They gave us a great deal since they didn't have the color we wanted and with the incentives and trade in value from our truck we got the new van for the price of the used vans we had been looking at. The test drive was smooth and he explained all the features the vehicle offered and the warranty on it as well. The whole process was smooth and effortless. We got a great deal and great service. I would highly recommend this seller and dealership to others. I went in to just look and they offered me a deal I couldn't pass up. More
I came to the dealer for two reasons. First my turn signal was possessed and the switch was replaced. I think $400.00 is an absurd charge. The part cost 150.00 and for an hours worth of work it cost signal was possessed and the switch was replaced. I think $400.00 is an absurd charge. The part cost 150.00 and for an hours worth of work it cost 250.00! Ridiculous. Secondly, I came in because the traction light came on and I couldn't get the car out of first gear. It finally fixed itself. I was told that the sensor had to be replaced because the transmission was getting mixed signals from it. Even though I have a lifetime warranty on the drive train, conveniently this sensor is not covered. Cost - around $1300.00. Ridiculous. I will be checking into places that price this work more fairly. I like your service department. The clerks are friendly and knowledgeable, but I think corporate needs to stop gouging customers. More
If you have not read any of the other reviews about Chris let me be the first to tell you that he is AMAZING!!!!! I went there with my wife to look at getting a new Dart we did not think that we would be abl let me be the first to tell you that he is AMAZING!!!!! I went there with my wife to look at getting a new Dart we did not think that we would be able to afford anything over the base price and that's when Chris came into my life so to speak he came out greeted me got to know me before asking about the car and really made it a great all around experience and there are so many things that he helps you with if you ask. i had to go back to get my tags and me and him sat outside and talked for about an hour and only the first couple minutes was about my car, the rest of the time we just talked. for a first time or a well experienced car buyer he is the one you want to talk too and he will be the one that gets my business when my wife or daughter needs a new car. thank you so much Chris More

We drive a 2001 Durango, our boys, niece, mom, and mother in law all drive Avengers. Recently we purchased a 2011 Dodge Challenger and now traded that in on a 2013 Dodge Challenger. I decided to replace my Honda Odyssey minivan with a Dodge Grand Caravan and based upon my internet research for quality dealerships I decided to work with Safford Dodge in Fredricksburg. It was an an a Dodge Grand Caravan and based upon my internet research for quality dealerships I decided to work with Safford Dodge in Fredricksburg. It was an an absolutely fantastic experience. Wes was the sales representative I worked with and he made this a throughly enjoyable experience. I experienced none of the high pressure tactics used by dealerships in the Woodbridge area. I decided on a Dodge Grand Caravan over the Odyssey because Dodge has the features I want such as Stow'n Go seating, Stow'n Go roof rack, and the new Pentastar engine. Wes worked with me the get the model with the specifications I wanted. Originally I planned to get an SE model but after Wes showed one to me, I learned that the SE did not have all the features I wanted, primarily electric windows throughout. I ended up with an SXT model with all the features I wanted and none of the features I did not and therefore did not have to pay for options I really did not care for. In addition the pricing was way beyond expectations. No bantering back and forth, Wes and Safford Dodge gave me their bottom line up front price which simply blew me away. In addition they gave me $500 more for my Honda Odyssey trade in then what CARMAX had offered the previous day. So far I really enjoy the van and feel it is much nicer than the Odyssey I traded in for it. The sales department has set some high expectations for the service department as I hope to have Safford service my new Dodge. More
