The most friendly, and cheap dealership in VA. I honestly can't give this dealership enough praise. I have always had a fantastic experience. Web looking for a car and when having my vehicles serviced. John is the most friendly and honest salesman I have ever met. The service team is personable and honest, the prices on parts are better than most places online, and they couldn't be more helpful. I was extremely pleased with the entire process. Steven was very quick to respond to all of my questions via email and was very up front and specific for me and made sure when I was ready to come and take was very quick to respond to all of my questions via email and was very up front and specific for me and made sure when I was ready to come and take a test drive that he had a sales person ready to assist me. I felt no pressure and also felt like I was being dealt with in a very customer friendly and honest manner. This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had and I will definetly be recommending this dealership to all of my coworkers, family, and friends. More
My main objective was a vehichle with a fuel economy over 40 mpg. I had teh field narrowed down to teh VW Jetta SportsWasgon and the Toyota Prius. I ultimately went with the VW b/c it was a manual transmission. But my experiecne with the dealership was fantastic. Upon my intial visit, after some time with John Batt explaining some options and showing me some cars, we centered upon the Jetta. I was very surprised to find myslef taking a test drive alone! I was given about an hour to check out eh vehicle on teh highway and city roads. There was no pressure during this test drive and I never felt pressured thoughout the entire process. I liek teh fact that John was very honest and upfront about costs and maintenance and even issues previous customers have expereinced (albeit very few). I was never made to wait around for any stretch of time, and always treated with dignitty and respect. John seemed to go out of his way to accomodate me and my needs. The car I speceifically wanted was not readily avaialble so John was able to locate my ride in 2 days, get my credit and paperwork squared away in that time and had it delveiered from Pennsylvania to Virgina! All in all I had a superb fisrt time experience buying a ne car and am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Thank you John B and the whole VW team! More
I've visited this dealer many times dreaming to get a VW GTI. I worked with John Batt through the whole buying process. He was very patient and was able to get the car I wanted from a neighboring deal GTI. I worked with John Batt through the whole buying process. He was very patient and was able to get the car I wanted from a neighboring dealer. The price was good, the financing ROCKED! My first new car purchase took me 7 to 8 hours. At Bill Britt, I was in and out in about 3.5 hours. Thank you John, and Bill Britt VW! More
I visited Bill Britt VW on july 2,2012. I had questions and maybe a test drive in mind. I wanted a fuel efficient car and also one that had class. My sales consultant was John Batt. As it turned out I m and maybe a test drive in mind. I wanted a fuel efficient car and also one that had class. My sales consultant was John Batt. As it turned out I met up with the right dealership and the right car. Needless to say the salesman was also the right person. My experience was most enjoyable. I have purchased many automobiles in my life and the has been the best experience i can remember. John was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. What I appreciated most about Mr. Batt was his honesty, something that is very difficult to find these days. The total buying experience took about 3 hours. When it was finish i owned a new VW with all the options I was looking for. The vehicle was serviced and cleaned up and ready to go. The finance department was just as friendly and courteous. I feel I received the right car at the right price and enjoyed the whole buying thing, not easy to say when trying to purchase a car these days. I will definately go back to Bill Britt in the future. I'm sure the service and parts departments are equally kind and courteous. Thank you John Batt and Bill Britt Mazda/VW. More
I have purchased 3 vehicles from Ted Britt Mazda in the past and now I have just purchased another one. I continue to go back to Ted Britt because everyone is honest and loyal to their customers, especiall past and now I have just purchased another one. I continue to go back to Ted Britt because everyone is honest and loyal to their customers, especially Kirk Ross. He has been so helpful in the past and future. I can always depend on him giving me good advance, he's patient, honest and loyal to his customer's. He gives good advice and he wants his customers to be happy. I enjoy working with him and he's trust worthy and we are the same with him. The first time I bought a car from Ted Britt, 11 years ago, Kirk was my sales associate that a friend recommended. He made buying a car so easy. That was the first time I ever purchased a car over the phone. I told him what I wanted and he went and got it. He called me and said your car is ready. When I arrived, I know my husband and I probably sent 20 minute in the finance office to sign the paper work and we were on our way. After 11 years with my Mazda Tributt that was faitfull and still is, I purchased the new CX-5. Again, Kirk went and found just what I wanted and had it brought to the dealership. He goes above and beyond the call of duty and we appreciate him so much, after purchasing the first car 11 year's ago, we came back and purchased two more from Ted Britt through Kirk. Your sales and finance office (Mark Bjorsen)are professional and curitous. I plan on being as loyal to Ted Britt as they have been to me. Any your service dept employee's are the best. I always feel comfortable leave my car and knowing they have taken care of any problems. I will recommend all of our friend and family to Ted Britt/ Fredericksburg. Thanks so much. More
Came in for an oil change on my jetta and they overfilled it by 1.5 quarts, put in 5w-40 instead of 5w-30, and synthetic in without asking. The next day my car was clicking and spilling oil out around the o it by 1.5 quarts, put in 5w-40 instead of 5w-30, and synthetic in without asking. The next day my car was clicking and spilling oil out around the oil cap. I brought my car back in the next morning where Pam and another service guy came over and admitted to overfiling the oil with 6 quarts instead of 4. They asked what they could do, so I asked them to drain it, put in the correct oil, and asked for it documented that they overfilled it. It says on the oil cap " Do not overfill, overfilling will cause damage to the Cadillac converter." Pam said she would bring it to her service director Bill Burke for him to sign. An hour later I finally walk into Bill Burkes office and he tells me he will not sign what Pam typed up and will not admit to overfilling the oil. I recorded the conversation on my cell phone of him admitting they overfilled it but refusing to put it in writing. He eventually signed my invoice saying "overfilling by 1.5 quarts will not cause engine damage." Which is not true. I said if it won't cause engine damage then why can't he sign the document saying he overfilled it. The customer service was poor I am a 25 year old female and he kept referring to me as a child ( He would say "As a child I'm sure you don't know"....) and even said "let me know when you are ready to act like an adult" he was very rude and was very demeaning. He was not friendly in fact was very unfriendly and my overall experience was very bad. I asked to speak to Bill Britt and he told me he was out on vacation until next week. I had several witnesses who saw Pam come over and admit they made a mistake and still Bill Burke is refusing to admit they overfilled my oil and refusing to document their mistake. More
This is the third car I've purchased from Bill Britt Mazda in about three years. I live in Charlottesville but I drove to Fredericksbug to buy this car. Kirk is a very well informed salesperson and alwa Mazda in about three years. I live in Charlottesville but I drove to Fredericksbug to buy this car. Kirk is a very well informed salesperson and always puts me in the right car for me and my wife. Kirk is a low pressure salesperson who let's his product do the talking! I had a slight problem, but Kirk stepped up and solved my issue with total professionalism. The sales staff at Bill Britt are all friendly, helpful and sincere. I've walked into other dealerships and only person who speaks to you is the dealer who is "up" for the sale. In Bill Britt everyone said "hello". Mark Bjornsen, the finance manager, was friendly and to the point (since I had to drive back to Charlottesville and work a midnight). All I can say is, If you want a pleasurable experience in car buying go to Bill Britt and see Kirk! More
I have worked with Rob Lundberg and Kirk Ross in the Mazda shop. Purchased a Mazda in 2002.Both have been extremely helpful in my final decision to purchase a new car. This month, April 2012, I purchas Mazda shop. Purchased a Mazda in 2002.Both have been extremely helpful in my final decision to purchase a new car. This month, April 2012, I purchased a new VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI. John Batt was my sales consultant. I first contacted him in November 2011 and explained that I did not want delivery until April of 2012. He arranged a direct order from the factory in order for the car to be delivered when I was ready to take possession of the car. He was available for updates pertaining to the time the car was actually on the assembly line in Puebla, Mexico, and moved the process along according to my chosen schedule for delivery. I think his attention to detail was exceptional. I would add that the entire Bill Britt dealership organization has been the most pleasant buying experience for me ever since I purchased my 2002 Mazda Miata. The experience at the VW shop has continued to be a very pleasant buying experience. There is never any pressure put on the customer. I live 60 miles from the Bill Britt dealership, and am willing to drive that distance to buy and to service my two cars. I think that should indicate my total satisfaction with this organization. When I took delivery on April 27, 2012, my car was detailed, had state license plates attached (not the cardboard temporary plates), and was immaculate. John Batt introduced me to the business manager who finished the paperwork in less than 10 minutes, including showing me options for extended warranty, and other options. When I declined to take advantage of those items, there was no pressure or hard-sell to accept them. That has not been my experience with many other dealerships over the many years that I have purchased cars. John Batt then took me to the car and methodically taught me all the features of the car, including the techno-features of the switchgear--radio,cruise control, heating and cooling systems, seat adjustments, and keyfob. And he said that if I have any further questions or have trouble remembering his explanations, he will be available to go over all the details again, even though I have the instruction books and "quick-start" brochure. He said I could drop in anytime and he would help me figure out some of the more unfamiliar parts of the radio and BluTooth features. I am a happy customer. More
