Armando Rodriguez was our sales rep, and we had one of the best experiences we have ever had buying a car. We had no idea what reputation the business had (we live over an hour away), but had found the car online and took a ride to test drive it. We were pleasantly surprised by the smiling faces and willingness to help. There was no stress and they were not pushy. Recently, we decided to sell the Mustang (which turned out to be a great car with no problems for the entire time we owned it). I called Armando because we had very little experience selling a car and I wanted to get his opinion on the sale price we had come up with. He was more than willing to help me and gave me his professional opinion. He also brought it to my attention that we had purchased an extended warranty back when we bought the car (which we never had to use because it was such a great car!) and that it could be transferred to the new owners if we wanted another selling point, or we could file paperwork for a refund on the rest of the term once the vehicle sold. Long story short, we sold the car, I called Armando and he got started on that paperwork for us right away. He has gone above and beyond to help us out and we couldn't be more impressed! Go to Salem Ford, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Armando!! More
I submit a car inquiry through USAA Insurance, and then get a phone call from Ken, Finance guy from Salem Ford. Ken asks me to come in, so I show up and ask for Austin or Wilson, and salesman Dana greets m get a phone call from Ken, Finance guy from Salem Ford. Ken asks me to come in, so I show up and ask for Austin or Wilson, and salesman Dana greets me, no smile mind you. I tell Dana of my being refered by Ken, and he intros me to Wilson, who advises me to sit with Dana for a short whil After Wilson test drives my car that's excellent shape, he comes back in, sits down and tells me they can offer me $8K for my car. Dana showed me low selling prices on autotrader.com for my car model, etc. I leave the dealership bu simply saying "nice meeting ya" and walk/drive away. I get back home, redo autotrader.com again, and for my car, prices were 9500-13K and those cars had HIGHER mileage than mine ! I'll never go there again, nor will I refer others. I shoulda listened to friends of mine who warned me about Salem Ford, but I wanted to give this dealer the benefit of the doubt. So much for that. Note: While I was there, I never saw 1 hint of a smile from the few guys in the showroom. The positive other reviews of this place boggle my mind. More
Nancy Vega is an awesome sales person. She worked with me for close to a year on acquiring my new Fusion. She was curtious, knowlegeable and very patient with me. I ended up with the exact car that I wanted for close to a year on acquiring my new Fusion. She was curtious, knowlegeable and very patient with me. Our family is in the market for a new car, and we fully intend to purchase one this week. We dislike haggling and the feeling of being cheated that is so often a feature of car buying. Therefore, we deci intend to purchase one this week. We dislike haggling and the feeling of being cheated that is so often a feature of car buying. Therefore, we decided to make use of a car-buying service available to us. We were emailed three quotes from three different dealerships, and began communicating with the dealership offering the lowest price. We then received a phone call from Gina at Salem Ford and Hyundai, asking us about our inquiry. She seemed great at communicating with us, and she tracked down the car that we are planning to buy. We were delighted when she told us that she would be able to get it for us significantly cheaper than the quote from her competitor. Gina assured us that she had spoken to her manager, and even emailed us the numbers, which we printed out and brought with us when we went to the dealership, ready to put down cash and buy this car today. We arrived at the dealership and sat down with Joel, who looked at the numbers and talked to us about the process of purchasing our car. Then he went to talk to his manager. When he came back he was very sorry to tell us that there had been an unfortunate mistake and they actually were not going to honor the quote that we had been assured over the phone and through email was legitimate. He said he could, however, sell us the same car for a price thousands of dollars higher than our quote. The number that was offered to us at the dealership was close enough to the competitor's price that we likely would have accepted it had it been offered up front in a straightforward way. The way in which this dealership chose to lure us in with a lower price, though, means that we will never buy a car from them and, in fact, will actively warn others away. This is a sleazy way to do business, and is the kind of action that gives car salespeople a bad name. After our interaction with Gina on the phone this afternoon, I had planned on writing a much different kind of letter, complimenting her for the way she was able to make this car buying experience so pleasant. It is unfortunate that instead I'm writing this letter. More

I arrived at Salem Ford, at approximently 4:55 PM on a Sunday evening, just five Dealership? Outstanding customer service! True story .... I arrived at Salem Ford, at approximently 4:55 PM on a Sunday evening, just five minutes to their closing time. I started car shopping earlier that day. I bounced around to three differant car lots, and spoke to several sales men. Honestly it was total overload. I even left a deposit of $100.00 at a dealership to hold a car I was not "totally sure" if I was going to buy, out of shear duress. At Salem Ford, the employee I interacted with, David Silvia was very knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find the vehicle that met my needs rather than just being focused on making a quick sale, even though it is 30 minutes past closing time. I never felt rushed or less than valued. I took his business card and left Because of David Silvia's efforts, I came back the following evening, without an appointment. However, I kept his business card and was happy to see he was working that evening. David Silvia was able to find exactly what I wanted and needed. Today I am very satisfied with my purchase. I will continue to do service in the future, as well as recommend it to others. Please let David know that his efforts did not go unnoticed.
