Questionable sales tactics, unresponsive I bought a 2018 Explorer from this dealership and experienced questionable sales tactics and have had no response from them since. I was contact by a I bought a 2018 Explorer from this dealership and experienced questionable sales tactics and have had no response from them since. I was contact by an employee asking if I filled out my survey from Ford yet and I told him I hadn't because I had some outstanding issues. He said the sales director was made aware and would contact me. That was almost 2 weeks ago. They now do not return my calls, texts or emails. My issues - 1) I was advised the vehicle I bought had a specific feature that would be activated after the vehicle was prepped and delivered. Come to find out the vehicle doesn't have that feature. 2) Sales rep wasn't interested in my employer info before purchase because he explained that their price was better than the x plan price anyway. So why was he trying to get my employee ID after the sale was completed? I think there were possibly rebates due to me that they intended to keep for themselves. under the x plan. 3)• I don’t like the way my trade in was handled. Before we purchased the Explorer my wife and I looked at the Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia and Honda Pilot. All 3 other places appraised our trade between $13,000 and $13,500. Your initial offer on my trade was $10,000. I walked out when I was offered that. I told my wife when I got home that I would get a call or email the next day from you stating you “found” more money for my trade. Sure enough, late the next day my salesman called me back and said they “found” more money bringing it in alignment with what 3 other dealerships offered. Y’all purposely low balled the offer hoping I was a sucker and would take it, making more money for you. Do that to every customer and I’m sure a certain percentage of them take your first low ball offer. Y’all played me and I didn’t like it. I want a response from the Sales Manager why this was done. I have emailed, texted, called the dealership at least 6 times since they last responded and nobody will address my issues so this is the reason for their bad rating. More
