I feel they took advantage of my elderly father. They sold a used foreign SUV well over book value to my father. Vehicle had a serious oil consumption issue 1 qt every 500 miles. My father drove vehicle less than 1,000 miles before his health turned for the worse. He then let me drive it for a couple of weeks and I drove it back on for from Farmington to St Louis adding another 1,500 miles. Once I realized how much oil it was consuming I starting digging into the situation. Manufacturer would not do anything because of year of vehicle. The overpriced extended warranty the dealership sold my father would not help as oil consumption is not covered. During my research I found out according to CarFax. Sam Scism Ford sold the vehicle approx 3 months earlier, then bought it back after approx 2 months 3,000k miles later. They then sold it to my father. When I questioned salesman/dealer I learned it was sold to an employee of Sam Scism and was returned because of the lack of a 3rd row seat and they had no idea it had an oil consumption issue, I find that hard to believe but cannot prove. My advice is check the CarFax and avoid ANY vehicle they sold & then bought back shortly thereafter.... Buyer Beware More
