I had originally purchased my 2011 Chevy Cruze from Power Chevrolet. I had received a recall in the mail for the Cruze. It just so happened that I had seen Mike Kalin at the grovery store and knowing he was Chevrolet. I had received a recall in the mail for the Cruze. It just so happened that I had seen Mike Kalin at the grovery store and knowing he was a sales rep at Sands he offered to take my car in and take care of the recall and also get the maintenance on the cruze. See, I had purchased (an extended warranty from Power Chevrolet that was explained to me and my daughter that we would get oil changes every 3,000 miles and a clear coat( that was to be hand polished and assured me that it would protect my car from any scratches, and normal wear and tear for five years. The finance manager and also salesman said my car would look the same in 5 years as it did today. I said Heck yes. This might be one of the last brand new cars that I get. After my first oil change I seen the car go thru the basic car wash, I asked when the clear coat was going to be applied and he said it already had. I was sitting inside the service area watching and at no time did anybody polish my new car for me. I voiced my concern to the service writer at Power Chevrolet and he said they had been having some problems with the sales department telling customers one thing and that's not exactly true.He also said they had had a weekly meeting and tried to tell the salespeople not to say that exact thing to the customers cause it was not true. I was a little angry when I left. I was a little upset but rather than say something I would regret later I walked out. When explaining to Mike that I had to get an oil change and the clear coat along with the recall, Mike Kalin offered to come and pick up my car and take it to Sands Chevrolet of Glendale to take care of the routine maintenance for me. Mike made a phone call to Mr. Tim Vinning and he said to bring the car right down and they would have it done by the end of the evening for me. After the oil change was completed, I was given a call by Sands and told me the cost. I was somewhat dumbfounded as I bought a maintenance policy that gave me unlimited oil changes FREE for 5 years as explained to me by Power chevrolet. He said it could be done at any Chevy dealership across the United States. This is not true. The service manager said this was only done at Power Chevrolet and could not be done anywhere else. We did explain that we traveled alot. Dont"t worry and Chevy Deealership can do this. I called and taled with Jimmy (Assistant Sales Manager) at Power and he said he would explain the situation to the General Manager) who did listen and said he could not help me. Frustrated, I told them I would never be back and would write a review on this site and he said go ahead we don"t care and don;t need the business.Excuse me. At this time when the economy is so bad you are in customer service and your goal is to help customers. Sure seems funny that Mike Kalin went over and beyond what I ever expected. I taled to their General Manager ( Glen Grobney) at Sands, he explained that clear coat comes as a courtsey as part of the detail area when getting service done and applied to every car. Glen did settle me down some but still very frustrated at Power. I am an elderly woman living on Social Security and paying the 600.00 extra for clear coat that does not exsist is pure rip off if you ask me. Fraud. And this is not the last time they will hear from me. My lawyer will be next. I personally want to first off Thank Mike, for going out of his way to accomidate me, and Glen and Tim for there prompt and excellent service. I would NOT recommend Power Chevrolet in Arrowhead to anybody. Unless you have money to pay for service contracts that do not exist. As a widowed woman who lives on a fixed income, I would recommend sands as they did not take advantage of me and this situation in any way. HEY ARIZONA GO TO SANDS AND SEE MIKE KALIN IN SALES AND TIM VINNING IN SERVICE. You will not be disappointed. More
I just have to say that this is probably the best service I have received at a dealer ship and I have been to quite a few. I brought my car in for service and forgot my house keys in my loaner car during my service visit. Needless to say I was locked out of my house. I came in on Mother's day when service was closed and of course my keys were in the service bay. I then went to the sales department where I met Annie and explained my situation. Annie went above and beyond in finding someone who had access by placing numerous calls and us walking around the dealership to find out who may have had access. Everytime I lost hope Annie continued making efforts while anyone else at any other dealership probably would have told me to come back on Monday while service was open. To make a long story short Annie was able to retrieve my house keys. I was so impressed with the service I received from her that I offered to buy her lunch and have it delivered to the dealership and she declined. She told me that she was just happy to get me back into my house. I was speechless. Its people like her that will keep someone loyal to coming back not only for service needs but to also purchase their next vehicle. Once again I cant thank you enough and my dog thanks you too! Thanks again Annie! More

We traveled from San Diego to Surprise AZ for a weekend baseball tourney. My Avalanche began to have issues on Friday night soon after our arrival. I called Sands Chevrolet at 9:00 AM on Saturday knowing baseball tourney. My Avalanche began to have issues on Friday night soon after our arrival. I called Sands Chevrolet at 9:00 AM on Saturday knowing they closed at 2 and odds are they'd just tell me that there was no way they could work on it until Monday. I had to return to San Diego on Sunday so there was no way that would work. I'm beginning to realize I may be stuck in AZ for a few more days than expected and have to miss some work next week. Sam in the service department tells me to come in and he'll do everything he can to get my truck fixed that day. He greeted me with a smile, checked my truck in then helped me get the rental car. I couldn't believe it but 4 hours later we had a call letting us know the truck was ready. New fuel pump AND a wash in under 4 hours... and to top it off.... it was warranty work... no charge for the service or the rental car. I'd have to say waking up that morning there is no way I could even hoped for such a great outcome to what could have been a terrible experience. Thank you Sam and Sands Chevrolet in Surprise AZ for the best car service experience in my life. More
