Machinist responded

In addition to my previous comments I'd like to add that I told the service department when I dropped my jeep off to not do anything that wasn't covered by my drive train warranty. An hour later I received a call saying they had removed the rear cover and that I would have to pay for the Mopar oil at $75 per quart (needed 2 quarts), a new gasket, and additive. I had just purchased jeep approved oil when I topped it off for less than $10 per quart. This was in addition to their service fee.
