Jennifer did a wonderful job in taking care of scheduling and handling a timely fix. She offered to have my car washed and vacuumed and that is a first by this dealership for my cars. I can not tell you how excited I was to have found the Pontiac Solstice 2007 GXP with 85000 miles - 5 Speed Manual Transmission and TURBO… Not to mention it appeared to be at a steal of a deal in price. Pontiac Solstice 2007 GXP with 85000 miles - 5 Speed Manual Transmission and TURBO… Not to mention it appeared to be at a steal of a deal in price. I drive over to Sandy Sansing only 10 minutes before they close to be met by Jeff the salesman that stayed well past closing with Ricky in finance to make my dream come true. I have wanted this car in this color since 2007 when it was new… in 2007 it was but a pipe dream as it was quite the expensive little sports car. We get all in order and finally get to drive off the lot thanks to the team at Sandy Sansing only for it to borderline overheat, coolant to run low, and the check engine light to appear. I was told by the salesman if anything terrible should happen they would stand behind the sale and the car not to worry as we were leaving the lot. Now came time to put that promise to the test. I reached out to the lot and spoke to the Sales Manager for used cars Sher and was then advised there was no need to take the car to GMC and have a 2000$ repair completed on it as it was just purchased and should return to them to have it looked at and see if or what they could do to help. I returned and was advised that yes, indeed the water pump was leaking and would need to be replaced. Sher agreed to have me purchase the Water Pump and they then would meet me on labor and have it installed into the car to resolve the issue at hand. I think this was more than fair as my dream car was threatening to overheat sitting idle at a light not an hour after I purchased it. I have purchased 4 cars from Sandy Sansing dating back as far as 2002 in Pensacola, FL. I come back as I know they are a known name, and they do honest business. As Is – No Warranty is a very STRONG sale especially when on-lot financing just stuck it to you to make your dreams come true… They did charge me a ton more than I was advised it would be, almost as though they charged me double for parts seeing how they couldn’t charge me for labor. I am glad it was all done under $500.00 just wish people were held more accountable for the things they say. A very smart person in my life stated a long time ago – there are no MISTAKES only LIFE LESSONS. Lessons learned out of this, NEVER buy a car with on-lot finance “THEY ARE NOT ON YOUR SIDE” contact your bank or local Credit Union. Your bank/CU will give you fair finance and most will provide a Warranty. I was able to get an amazing rate and a 36month or 36000mile coverage added for a very affordable price. Second, never buy a used car unless… you have taken it and had a 3rd party do a 49-point inspection of the vehicle. Third, be willing to walk away, and trust your gut. I am thankful that this time the car lot made the right decision and stood behind the car in which they sold me… however this could have gone a completely different route and required a lot more time and money to resolve. I would suggest buying from Sandy Sansing as they did keep their word… however do yourself a favor and ALWAYS remember – they are SALESMEN. At the end of the day the goal is to sell a car, when it should be to create a lifelong bond of trust establishing a relationship that leads to many future sales over the years of driving. Remember one happy person must tell 100 people for 100 to hear about it. An angry upset customer tells 1 for 1000 to hear about their TERRIBLE experience. I have been told many times over in life I have a very big voice and that people love to hear my stories. So now I write, people like my reviews and they like to read the stories I share good or bad. Life is all about choices and with each choice we make there are strong consequences. Thank you, Sandy Sansing, for doing what is right. Just because it’s yellow… it should not be a lemon! 🍋 🍋 🍋 More
The Ford dealership in Daphne had numerous vehicles to look at. I was looking for a SUV that would meet my needs. Doug K. (salesman) saw us looking at the different size SUVs and ask if he could help. He let me drive the Ford Bronco Sport and compare the difference between the 2024 and 2025. Both were very nice, it took awhile to make a decision. Doug was very patient and treated me with respect. If I ever need another vehicle, I would gladly return because of Doug and the selection.
