I can't say enough great things about this dealership. As someone who dreads shopping for a car, they made the experienced so easy and pleasure. I called Sarasota Ford with, what I thought would be a simple question. I would like to have a key made for my car. I was transferred to parts, who had no idea how to make a key, so they sent me to the se simple question. I would like to have a key made for my car. I was transferred to parts, who had no idea how to make a key, so they sent me to the service department who stated it would be between $15 and $400 to make a key for my car. I have a 2001 Ford Focus. The entire car is worth maybe $600, so a $400 key just does not make since to me. Service sent me back to parts, which could still not tell me if my car needed the $15 or the $400 key, then hung up on me. I called back to speak with some type of manager, and was sent to a voice mail. I have never received such terrible service in my life. I believe that this dealership should be closed down, or the culture should be changed to encompass to customer. This culture comes from the upper management, and I will also forward this to Ford, so they know how their product is represented here in Sarasota. More

Avoid this dealership at all costs. They will lie to your face and jerk you around about APR and loans. My husband and I came in there with a blank check from our finance company and instead of using our bla face and jerk you around about APR and loans. My husband and I came in there with a blank check from our finance company and instead of using our blank check they contracted the loan through the same company, which would have been fine except Mr. Vickery tried to increase our rate by 1.5%. He lied to our faces and said that our blank check was not really a check but just a mailer. Not true. My husband and I said we are not paying anything more than the percent on the paper from the finance company and he uncontinued to try to trick us in to accepting the higher percent. My husband suggested that we call the finance company and his tune changed. In a nut shell dealerships do not make much money off of blank checks so they want to do contracted financing which pays them way more and the higher APR the more money they make off of the deal. I brought the car back to them and demanded that they make what they tried to do right. Ended up lowering the APR below the blank check APR and took an additional amount off of the loan. If you choose to do business with Sarasota Ford make sure you do your homework and do not let them jack you around. I will never do business with them again nor will I take my new car there for any warranty service. Absolutely horrible customer service and unethical business practices. More
I have a convertible that the top began to fray over the drivers door and pointed it out to the service writer and he said the convertible top was NOT covered under the factory warranty. A few days later I drivers door and pointed it out to the service writer and he said the convertible top was NOT covered under the factory warranty. A few days later I was at Autoway Ford picking up some parts and one of the salesman asked me if I knew my top was frayed and I said yes but Sarasota Ford told me it's not covered under my warranty. They took a few pictures of my top, sent it in and 3 days later I rec'd a call that it was approved and to tell them where to ship the new top to be installed. A month later my air conditioning wasn't working properly and I brought it to Sarasota Ford and it was diagnosed as needing a new evaporater core, and it was covered under warranty (over $1200) and when I went to pick it up after the new core was installed II noticed I had wires hanging loose under my dash (the entire dash had to come out to put the new core in). When I brought it to the attention of the service writer, the same service writer that told me my conv top wasn't covered, he said it must be some after market items I had installed and they are NOT responsible for putting those wires back together. I feel if a mechanic takes something apart whether it is stock or after market, he should put it all back together if he takes any pride in his work at all. I had to go to the shop that installed the aftermarket lights and it took them less than 10 minutes to reconnect what Sarasota Ford had taken apart. Needless to say, Sarasota Ford will not see me again for any reason More
Avoid this dealership like the plague. Engine light came on. Lynn would not return my calls Misquoted price. I put a large amount down on vehicle but was duped into GAP coverage. Won't pass inspection because of engine light. Filing complaint with attorney general. Buyer beware!!! More

I own a 2012 Ford Escape. I went to ago and inquired about having someone there instruct me about how to use my Sync System. I purSarasota ford to have my oil changed a few weekschaed my car at Autoway Ford in Bradenton, but I salesman "Bobby" at Sarasota said he would be glad to help me and I set up an appt with him for today at 9 am. When I showed up,a salesman, Andy, saw me getting out of my car and asked if I was there to see Bobby and I replied yes and he said he was not there and he was filling in for him. So he walked over to my car and as soon as he saw the "autoway" sticker he was rude and said they do not help with cars purchased elsewhere but he would see what he could do. He got in my car and turned a dial on my radio console and was doing something with my phone and my contacts and was very impatient and told me he works on comission and was not getting paid for this and he gave me very little to no instruction and kept looking at his watch and out the window and after 10 min said "just play around with it" and said he had to go. I was way too polite to this man who was very rude and intimidating to me. Tonight my husband called Sarasota Ford and spoke to a manager, Edwin and tried to explain the above to him. He interruped my husband twice and said they don't get paid to help other Ford customers.. he was so rude to my husband as well. Had my oil changed a few weeks ago there, wish I had check the oil to see if it was brown and dirty afterwards after reading several other reviews today of this terrible dealership. DO NOT GO HERE.. Go to Autoway Ford in Bradenton and see Pernell. You will get a great price and great customer service. I live in Sarasota and they could not even come close to what Autoway offered us in price for my car. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT in Sarasota Ford again. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these rude, selfish people. More
