Jim, I appreciate your response, but I want to be very clear — I did reach out to your dealership after my experience on Saturday in the hope of resolving this properly. I called on Monday to (1) speak to a sales manager about the way I was treated and (2) set up an appointment with someone who would actually provide the documentation required for a lease return. I spoke with Susan, who identified herself as a sales manager. Instead of listening or addressing my concerns, she immediately interrupted and told me your dealership would not process my lease return because I had been “abusive” to her salespeople. That is absolutely false. At no point was I abusive — I was simply asking for proper documentation, which any reasonable customer would expect. Frankly, it felt like Susan was trying to bait me with this accusation rather than resolve the situation. So not only was my original complaint ignored, but a manager doubled down by lying about my behavior and refusing to help me further. That’s not accountability — it’s a complete dismissal of the customer. In the end, I took my Jeep to Garavel Jeep in Norwalk, where the lease return was handled professionally in less than five minutes. They documented the time, date, mileage, number of keys, owner’s manual, and vehicle condition. In other words, exactly what I had asked Gengras to do in the first place. The contrast could not have been clearer — Garavel now has a customer for life, while I will never return to Gengras. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been a loyal customer of your predecessor, Scap, for over 30 years — purchasing a Dodge Dakota, leasing two Durangos, and most recently leasing the Jeep Gladiator (which is the vehicle i tried to return to you). After decades of loyalty, this is how I was treated at Gengras. I hope this provides the full picture. Your staff not only failed to provide basic professionalism on Saturday, but your management team then lied about me and refused to assist on Monday. That’s not a customer service failure — that’s a cultural problem at your dealership.

Ive made multiple attempts to speak with you and they have not been acknowledged. Today I’m told a part arrived today, for a vehicle that I was told was repaired. I again relayed a message, nothing. Also found your techs didn’t connect battery terminals properly and parts were not put back where they should have been. By not calling back you are perpetuating the lack of communication. I would enjoy clarification as to why parts are arriving when I was told it was fixed? This situation all around, and now from the top of service on down, seems to prove my point.

So I tried to make phone calls for answers, maybe an actual fix and I haven’t gotten any help nor actually spoke with anyone other than on here. The truck seemed fine after whatever hiccup and now it won’t start and I’ve missed a days worth of work. This dealership really doesn’t care. To top it off I think they did work outside of my extended warranty so they could make top dollar and get one over on me.
