Wish I did some research on the dealership before having my time wasted. I bought a Jeep from Scaps in 2016 and had one of the best car buying experiences there. How far that quality of care has fallen unde my time wasted. I bought a Jeep from Scaps in 2016 and had one of the best car buying experiences there. How far that quality of care has fallen under the new ownership. I inquired about a Jeep and was told that it was at their E. Hartford location to which I wasn't interested in having to go/or have the vehicle delivered to the Fairfield location. But after several text and phone calls I agreed to have the car delivered to the Fairfield location, (solely based on how great my experience was the last time I was there) which was followed by several texts to confirm that I would be coming in, which I totally understand cause time is important. I took time off from work and drove the 50+ minutes to go to this dealership only to find out, OPPS they brought the wrong vehicle over! All I got was, "You can come back tomorrow we'll get it here" totally ignoring that I just got done saying I had taken time off from work. I even inquired about the vehicle that was literally right in front of me but they didn't seem interested in a sale I guess cause I got no response. So I left and about 20 minutes later get a text saying oh we goofed and the car is there and I could just come back. They blamed the mistake on a "new driver" for putting it in the wrong lot. Shame on you guys for casting blame on a new hire. The sales person should have looked over the car and had it ready since I had an appointment and you had sent no less the 3 texts to confirm my end. In full transparency they did contact me the following day and offer to drive the car to me, but I told them that I had several hours to look around for similar vehicles and found several at the same, if not lower prices. They asked for an example to which I provided them and never heard back. No effort to even try and make the matter right, or even offer to get back my business that if the other car not what I was looking for or didn't work out they would still like to work with me which would be the professional thing to do. I had recommended this dealership for the last 10 years, but no more. More
My husband, my daughter and myself came to the dealership from Eastern Long Island. Leah picked us up from the ferry and brought us to the dealer. She made our experience so easy. She was very professional. from Eastern Long Island. Leah picked us up from the ferry and brought us to the dealer. She made our experience so easy. She was very professional. We bought a used Jeep for our daughter. The finance team was amazing as well. Everything went very smoothly and when we were finished with finance we went out to the Jeep and there was a big pink bow, which put a big smile on my daughter’s face. They couldn’t be more thoughtful. I’ve had many jeeps and my experience purchasing from other dealerships was never very good until now. We will always be going back to see Leah and her team whenever we decide to get another jeep. More
Absolutely Terrible Experience – Stay Away! I tried to return my leased Jeep today as the lease is ending, and I was absolutely shocked at how unprofessional, rude, and completely unhelpful I tried to return my leased Jeep today as the lease is ending, and I was absolutely shocked at how unprofessional, rude, and completely unhelpful the staff at this dealership were. Returning a vehicle should be a simple, documented process — but apparently not here. The salespeople flat-out refused to provide any kind of receipt, written confirmation, or even a basic acknowledgment that I returned the vehicle. They wouldn’t document the return date, time, mileage, or vehicle condition — nothing. They expected me to just drop the keys and walk away, completely empty-handed, and said I would “hear from the leasor.” That’s not just lazy — it’s reckless. When I asked for something in writing for my own protection, they got defensive and dismissive, as if I was being unreasonable for wanting basic proof of return. This is not how you treat customers, especially at the end of a lease when accountability matters most. If you’re considering doing business here, think twice. They clearly have no interest in customer service, transparency, or professionalism. I would never lease or buy a vehicle from this dealership again, and I strongly recommend others steer clear unless you want to be treated with total disregard. More
Shady at best. They get you in the door then tell you the vehicle your interested in isn’t available. They could have told me when I made the test drive appointment They get you in the door then tell you the vehicle your interested in isn’t available. They could have told me when I made the test drive appointment. Definitely not a family owned business like Scap was. More
i wish i could give no stars, i have had an encounter in the past with the manager Phil in service and i thought we spoke and moved forward. apparently he just wanted to wanted me to delete the negative re the past with the manager Phil in service and i thought we spoke and moved forward. apparently he just wanted to wanted me to delete the negative review. I scheduled my vehicle for an issue with the hot Air blowing when the AC was turned on. Fairfield service did a diagnostic and said i needed a new compressor. I took the vehicle to get a second opinion from a licensened dealership (after purchasing a compressor) and they said thats not the issue. However, i already purchased it and told them to install. At this point i have paid for the diagnostic at Fairfield (which was wrong), a new compressor and labor for installation but still have the same issue. We try to reach out to discuss the matter with the service manager (Phil) and we get no response. Therefore a review was written about the poor service, communication and wrong diagnostic. Finally i get a call and Phil focuses on the review not asking to bring the car in to look at it, gives a free oil change and we move forward. So the problem still exist i schedule the appt online and receive a cancellation a day before the appt. I do not get a call as to why just an email that says the appt was cancelled. I call the day the car was suppose to be brought in and the receptionist says the manager should call. We never receive a call and i had to call two more times for the receptionist to say the part isnt in… which i am confused about since the car was not brought in to be seen. Then i call again and she goes to the back to talk to Phil and see what is going on. She comes back to say Phil said you preciously wrote a bad review so take the car somewhere else. Phil never called and said anything he just cancelled and shared this message with the receptionist. Completely unprofessional. I bring the vehicle to another licensed dealer and they find the issue in 10 minutes. The only thing that was wrong is the fuse box. The dealership said jeep in fairfield should have tested this and knew it immediately thats what the diagnostic is for. At this point we were out a ton of money for the diagnostic to be wrong, Phil to be rude and not try to check the information that we provided to him. Save yourself and go somewhere else I also sent an email to the owner and have not heard back from him so it shows how much they care about customer service So here we are with all these fees from different More
Bought my truck out of state and in an attempt to find a good home dealership to service my truck I found gengras. After my truck wouldn’t start and all signs pointed to starter I had my truck towed there. good home dealership to service my truck I found gengras. After my truck wouldn’t start and all signs pointed to starter I had my truck towed there. I was told a loaner would be available before dropping the truck off and once it’s there I’m told they can’t. The communication throughout was poor as my attempts to get a timeline or anything were met with unfulfilled claims of callbacks. They claimed it was an issue I’d had tested(by a mechanic with 30+ years of experience) and found to be untrue but I followed them blindly. After being overcharged as I figured I would be the truck won’t start. I speak with Kyle in service and they hold no accountability. They won’t retow it at their expense, no offer of covering any costs because nothing is their fault. I guess putting a bandaid on a levy is my fault? I guess we play guess and test with other people’s money? As a single father I can’t afford to allow gengras to use my money to misdiagnose and not actually fix anything. As a licensed skilled tradesman that takes my craft seriously because lives are at stake I say shame on you for not valuing my life and those that get into my vehicle enough to do your job completely. If you want accountability these aren’t the people, if you want communication honesty and integrity I would look to Garavel or Milford Auto group. More
Came here to purchase 4 lug nuts for my wheels. The service rep getting me started said he needed to get some paperwork together and I inquired is there a charge for this? He responded “ I don’t think so”. A few minutes later he returned with a write up for a $55+ I asked if he could have waived and he said the manger Phil Conte stated was required. I ended returning the parts going to another mechanic further away who was more reasonable. I wouldn’t return here in the future. More
