Good customer service poor car prep I was greeted at the door and directed to the person I spoke with on the phone who connected me immediately with Fiz my sales rep. I knew what I was looking for and the price I was looking at in a used Forester. Fiz showed me several in my price range and found one I was interested in looking at and test driving. Fiz was not sure it was ready because it did not have a picture but he checked and it was brought up. As we looked at it it either had not been cleaned or had been cleaned very little because the headliner was marked up and dirty throughout. It was a certified pre owned and someone had missed the cracked back bumper. Fiz said this was unacceptable and would be cleaned before I left if I purchased it and the bumper would be scheduled with the body shop so we continued to test drive and check over the rest of the car. The car was cleaned while we made the deal and I was able to check it over again before signing the papers. The inside was much better but on close inspection after returning home there were still a lot of areas that I needed to work on myself. There are quite a few scratches and a door ding on the outside which may be able to be buffed out. One of the first things I noticed was after leaving the door opened for only a short time (10 minutes) the Forester would not start and it has a very week battery. This is not covered on a certified pre owned but a test must not have been done or it would have showed up. I realized it had an older owner who only put 5000 miles a year so I know batteries do not last as long if they are not used and charged regularly. This was the car I was seeing very good reviews and I trust will last the 200,000+ miles people get because I keep my cars as long as they run well. The care has been scheduled to have the bumper fixed and a rental will be supplied which is a good policy. I found the prices to be about $2000 less as to similar models I had checked at other dealers. 5-8-17 After my first review I had the car in for a body repair that was needed at purchase. When picking up the Forester they had cleaned the inside and when I asked about a buffing component to use on a few spots on the outside they offered to buff them for me if I brought it back. I am pleased and will return when looking for simething else in the future. More
Great buying experience I came in on the last day of the month to test drive the Forester and Crosstrek. I was pretty sure I wanted a Crosstrek, but as soon as I drove the Fo I came in on the last day of the month to test drive the Forester and Crosstrek. I was pretty sure I wanted a Crosstrek, but as soon as I drove the Forester I was in love. I got everything I wanted and more, and Tony helped make it happen. It didn't take too much to reach a deal for my trade and financing. And Kelly was quick is getting me through the paperwork so I could drive my new blue Subaru home. More

So, took my car in and the service guy said it should only take an hour or so to get it fixed. So I agreed to wait. After about an hour and a half, the service man asked if I could wait another half hour as the mechanic wanted to check for a leak in the system. So another half hour goes by and the service man comes to tell me that he is going to lunch and that someone else would come with the paperwork when the repair is finished. After another hour the service man comes and finds that I am still waiting!! He apologizes and said that he had a meeting to go to. And goes to check on my car. And the bad news is there is a leak in the A/C system but the mechanic cannot find it even after running dye through the system! And running it for 20 minutes. So the system will not hold a vacuum but the Good news is that the A/C works for now. But since they cannot find the leak, I have to bring the car back in when I notice the air conditioning is not working again! So now it is been 4 hours since I came in. And a sort of repair! No charge at this time, I have an extended warranty. But next time I come in, depending on where the leak is if they find it, I will have to pay if it is in the radiator! I think I could have been updated more often with the option to get a ride home instead of wasting all that time! More

2 hour oil change Called ahead and made an appointment, arriving 5 minutes before my scheduled time. After checking in, although never confirming my appointment, I was told it would be 45 minutes. After 1.5 hours and no-one stopping out to inform me of the delay or reason why, i went to the customer service desk and was told it was ready right then. I get that delays happen, its part of business, but no communication or status update was disappointing. When i asked the guy at the check in desk why the big delay i was told that 2 cars turned up early and 2 turned up late. Im not sure how or why they affect someone who turned up on time, but apparently it does. I asked what the point of having appointments is and there wasn't really a good answer. This has happened in the past on another visit - and if i cannot trust the timeframe provided, ill find somewhere that can provide better estimates. There could be a simple way to present the current order of the cars in service, and when they are expected to be worked on. This way their service reps won't have to worry about keeping the customer informed. More
