Took forever. Some bad moments. Some attempts to be helpful We arrived at about 0900 knowing exactly which car we wanted. We left the lot at nearly 1430. No trade-in, no financing. The salesman who helped us was nice and seemed to be doing his best. Test drive was fine. We sat down to hear sales price. Took forever. Dealers have a formula. The only reason to make people wait is psychological. We rejected the first offer because I had an email offer from other dealer. Long wait. Sales manager writes a counter offer in small print on offer. We discuss it. It's a bit higher, but they tell us car at other dealership lacks a couple of minor options and doesn't have same warranty. We agree. They finally print up another order. Number is $100 higher than what we discussed. They come back with paper that had handwritten offer that has now been written over. We say, "That was an eight." They say, "It was a nine." We ask why they wrote over it. They say to make it easier to read. It is now illegible. We express disgust but finally agree. Go to write a local check. They tell us to fill out financing application. We say call credit union. Send financing guy. We refuse to fill out financing form. He finally says we wouldn't need it if we paid by cashier's check. We leave to get one. General manager chases us to parking lot to apologize and say it's not needed. They make us go to the person who tries to sell you the extras. We decline. They say law requires sales pitch. No, it does not. At least they go quickly. Lots of waiting. Our car still not ready. We do training on similar car. We finally have to go eat something. Gen. Manager offers to reimburse us for lunch. This was nice. We get back and look for temp plate on car. There's none. Gen manager tells us law says we can't have one. WI DOT site says "Wisconsin residents may receive a temporary plate at no additional charge from the Wisconsin dealer or financial institution involved in the sale of a vehicle. The plate is valid for 90 days." Have to drive home with no plates. Just got a confirmation for a service appt that I never made and does not work for me. They could have asked in the hours we were waiting. I had avoided this dealer because back in 2013 they gave me a low-ball offer on my trade-in and lied about its value and condition. I get that dealers are in business to make a profit. I just don't want to be lied to. I don't want to deal with attempts at intimidation. Quote me a price that's fair to both of us. Don't waste my time. More
Poor customer service after the sale I have purchased two outback's from Subaru city the first outback was a great purchase my second one has been a disaster. Being an out-of-state cus I have purchased two outback's from Subaru city the first outback was a great purchase my second one has been a disaster. Being an out-of-state customer I needed the title to be transferred correctly instead of listening to what I needed they blamed it on my local DOT office which was far from the truth took four months for me to get the title taken care of. Lastly the tires on my outback have worn in correctly there is hardly any tread on the rear tires after 12,000 miles the service department blamed it on having too much weight in the back Amongst other things has been a horrible time at Subaru city my salesman has been awesome the rest of the employees there are the most unfriendly people I have ever met. More
Best service I just loves Subaru this is my second Legacy I have leased from you guys and have yet to be disappointed. Relief After just starting down the highway I heard a horrible metal grinding noise and was terrified. Afraid to drive I called my son in law who drove it to your dealership. The service department promptly found a stone stuck in a very unusual place, between plate and rotor. They removed it, checked the car out, and even washed it. Thank you More

I'm still learning My first visit for servicing--an oil change and tire rotation. Very clean, comfortable waiting room with beverages and fresh baked cookies--YUM. Mandy was efficient, helpful in explaining the process, and at the end, took the time to explain to me how to "unlock" my steering wheel which has happened to me several times and sets off my panic mode. As a bonus, my car was washed, which was wonderful to remove the winter's dirt. More
