I was really skeptical when I went to look at a 2007 Prius. I had drive all the way from Asheville (2.5 hours) to see A particular Prius that had unfortunately sold the night before. Robert showed my wife and I an even nicer Prius, but after what other Toyota dealerships had offered me on my trade-in, I just knew we wouldn't be able to afford it. I was ready to leave when Robert asked for a chance to try. When he came back, he offered us a deal that far exceeded my expectations. We drove our new Prius home with a lower monthly payment and a hundred thousand less miles than the car we arrived in. I still can't believe it. Robert is a magician! More

My experience with Scott Clark Toyota, started with a very negative experience with James Rucker, until I requested a different sales rep, Robert Van Alstyne is A W E S O M E, After expressing to him my very negative experience with James Rucker, until I requested a different sales rep, Robert Van Alstyne is A W E S O M E, After expressing to him my concerns as a customer, The GM called me within 15 minutes and the deal went through with no problem, My two criticisms are that I was offered $1000 more for my trade at another dealership which was two hours away,but they did not have a Prius C, I was strongly considering a Scion IQ at the time which they had, I could not convince anyone in financing to verify the offer and match it. I also emailed the GM that I had printed off the $500 additional off of any new car by going through the internet department, and that wasnt given to me either. Rather I was asked for $250 bucks out of my pocket. If I had been given those two things I would give this dealership 5 stars. Robert certainly gets 5 stars for his efficiency and excellent cutsomer service. The other parties involved with the deal, did not meet my expectations. I was turned away from another dealership, SCT, did get the deal done, Luv my Prius C. I do have to say that the GM did redirect the deal, if it had not been for that, I would have driven 2 hours to another dealership. More

My name is Doug Phillips...We had ordered a Prius at a dealer in Asheville, NC. After waiting for 6 weeks it became obvious our car was not going to come. So I started looking online for Toyota deale dealer in Asheville, NC. After waiting for 6 weeks it became obvious our car was not going to come. So I started looking online for Toyota dealers within a couple hours of our home. I did find Scott Clark and had a "discussion" with "Samantha" ...I later learned she was a computer! Fantastic technology! I was called by a salesman who confirmed they had a car with all the features we were looking for but unfortunately it had just been sold! Enter the sales manager--Jim Cline. He took the information about the car we wanted from the salesman and, on the phone, said he would try to find us exactly what we wanted. I assured him I was serious about making a deal and after a short time he called our home and we set a time to go to the dealer and test drive and buy the car. Through a misunderstanding, when we got to Scott Clark the car they had brought in from a distance did not have all the features we wanted. Honestly, my first thought was..."Here we go, bait and switch" and I told my wife, even though we drove 2 + hours to get here in good faith, we are not going to get pushed into buying a car we don't want! To our surprise, Jim Cline came to where we were sitting and apologized for the problem and asked if we would allow him to check every dealer in the South East to find a car with everything we wanted! Frankly, I was shocked and delighted to say we would be happy to let him "turn a lemon into lemonade." I would guess he was on the phone for at least 1/2 an hour and he finally came over to our seats with a print-out of a car we might like. He not only found the car with everything we wanted but he also kept his promise to meet the price we had agreed to on the phone at the beginning of our effort. And he even promised he would get our car from a distance, give us a loner car (a Prius) and have a driver deliver our new car to our home, have the driver exchange license plates and bring the loner car back to the dealership! We agreed with great delight and everything he promised has happened just as he promised! We are totally delighted with our new car and totally impressed at finding an honest car dealer! This has been the most amazing business deal we have ever experienced! Everyone at the dealership had great attitudes and treated us like gold...even in the business office...Don, made our experience enjoyable! Thank you to all the staff at Scott Clarke for a fun-- honest, beyond a fair and reasonable buying experience. Doug More
