My wife brought her 2010 Camry to the Scott Clark dealership on 10/1/2010 for an oil change and tire rotation @ 15,000. In addition to this service the following service was performed at a total cost dealership on 10/1/2010 for an oil change and tire rotation @ 15,000. In addition to this service the following service was performed at a total cost of $276.03. Replaced the cabin air filter for a cost of $48. The recommended service at 15,000 says clean the filter. This car has not been driven in extreme conditions and there was no reason to replace the filter A1 misc, what ever that is cost $10.89 Although there was no noted abnormal tire wear all a four wheel alignment was performed and the tires were balanced. The air filter was replaced at a cost of $22.87. This is not on the recommended list for replacement @ 15,000 and the car is not driven in extreme conditions. Tighten nuts and bolts on chasis & body was done. This car is not used for towing and no where is it recommended that this is done at 15,000 miles. Receipt shows that Customer requests FACTORY PLUS 15K MILE SERVICE. This is simply not true. She did not request anything but an oil change and tire rotation. When I talked with the sevice manager, Bobby Dills, he stated that she could have said no and that the extra work performed was "preventive". We went to Scott Clark to buy a new corolla and worked with Frank. He was able to answer all of our numerous questions and took our budget into consideration when showing us the cars. Everything was negotiated over the phone and email. The car was even delivered to my home - 3 hours away. I live in Raleigh and the local dealers are nowhere as responsive, price competitive or customer oriented. This is the 20th vehicle I have purchased - including some high-end european brands and this was absolutely one of the best experiences ever. My wife and I felt extremely comfortable and enjoyed working with the people at Scott Clarks Toyota. We had been to several dealerships trying to negotiate for a 2011 Sienna. The people we encountered at those dealerships seemed to lack the professionalism and courtesy we expected, until we walked into Scott Clarks Toyota in Matthews, N.C. We were introduced to an extremely competent, intelligent and personable sales rep, Travis Wilson. Travis far exceded our expectations, as he is also a most courteous young man. In addition to Travis, we were introduced to Philip Stroup and Justin Mann who handled many of the details for us and Jimmy Cline the sales manager who quite efficiently oversaw the entire transaction. Last but not least,a young lady who patiently walked us through and demonstrated to us the technical aspects of the vehicle, Devin Thomas.
