When my staff last spoke with you they believed that they had done a fair amount of goodwill by paying for your 2nd key and the window regulator. We asked you to pay for the brakes and tires since we delivered the car with 31,404 miles and they needed brakes at 62,156 - these items are wearable items and we believe your usage was well within the realm of normal wear and tear and not a defect. I don't want to get into a back & forth discussion - I was asked to give a review and I did. That being said, the fact that you "paid" for the extra key wasn't goodwill at all. I should have had an extra key upon the purchase of the vehicle don't you think ?? Every other time I have bought a car, new or used, I received 2 keys. And I guess I did not see where a "window regulator" was given to me for free - I guess I have to find the old $250 invoice that I had to pay to get the window fixed to verify. When the window broke, I just figured Chrysler would have fixed it for free since the window just stopped working with no fault of mine. And it is a Chrysler 200 by the way.........

Dear Mr. Bodtmann, My name is Matt Pompey, the president of Scranton Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM. I wanted to personally respond to your concern regarding the damage to your rocker panel. First - we would never hide or deny doing damage to a customer's car. We have insurance for that and would never jeopardize a relationship because of an accident. We will always correct our mistakes. Second - We did not lift your car with a mechanical lift. And if we did, the type we use leaves tell-tale signs that the lift arms were not arranged properly. -Your car has very distinctive damage - circular indents with no abrasion marks. We never lifted your car and the damage does not match the box frame arms our lifts use. It is physically impossible for our lift to have caused the damage you have on your car. A box framed arm simply can not leave a circular dent. And again - we never lifted your Dart. All our work was performed on the shop floor. Third - The type of damage your car exhibits is very typical of car carrier damage - There are no abrasions or scrapes - so it is obvious the car was not in motion when the damage occurred. Improper Car Carrier Tie-Down would be the best educated guess as to the source of the damage. If the damage had any appearance of being caused by our equipment or staff, I would gladly assume responsibility - but unfortunately the opposite is true. The physical evidence does not support your claim. A square arm does not make a round dent - and again - we never lifted your Dart off the ground. So while myself and my team are very sad and disappointed, we understand your decision and wish you well. The Dart is a wonderful car and should give you years of great service.
